When you will register online then you need to enter and upload all information they instructed there. You don't require any documents from the supporter for now. But it will require later. Just fill in the online step by step, all is clearly defined.

There are two documents/forms called Settlement Plan 1 and Settlement Plan 2. One is required to fill up by you and another one is by your friend. Your friend need to submit some documents (most probably health card, passport with Canadian Permanent residence visa or other proof) with the settlement plan.
