It has to be credit card.

Hi sandra001, thanks for your feedback.

Do you know someone who used a debit card and was told that it's not allowed? Pls advise.

Thanks

Is someone online out there right now?

Can I use my Debit Card to pay the visa processing fee?

Did someone use a Debit Card for such payment without issues before?
Try on it instead of asking for it. At the max, its going to fail.

Now Ecas shows decision made :)

Finally "Ready For Visa" email received an hour ago! 366 days since application was delivered to CIC.

I do not need visa to enter Canada, but currently have a work permit and I am present in Canada.

Do I still need to submit my passport or just a photocopy? Little bit confused.

In the email they say:"Please note that if you are holder(s) of passport(s) from countries which require visa to enter Canada AND permanent resident(s) of the U.S.A. OR currently in Canada with valid temporary residence visa(s), you are still required to submit your passport(s)."

I assume work visa doesn't count as temporary visitor visa. At least it's not mentioned here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visa.asp

You don't need to send your passport if you are from a visa-exempt country. Send a photocopy of your passport.

Question - I was in Canada on a work permit which expired at the end of November. I applied for an extension before it expired, which should give me "implied status". Then before a decision was made on my work permit extension, I got my PPR and DM (applied for PR through the SK PNP). I sent my passport to Ottawa this week.

What (if any) repercussions will this have when I try to land at the border with my COPR? I am currently living and working in SK. I'm asking the question mainly because currently I do not have a valid work permit in my passport, but do have documented proof that I applied for an extension before my work permit expired.

Thanks!

you no need to worry. basically on border they just take your all available work permits study permits copies.
you will have visa on your passport for landing which is quit enough for all landing fomalities with another docs
like copr ,sk id and many more.
if they ask about your current status just tell them u r on implied status. it is not matter or worries or no negative impact
while u do landing.

hi,

How do I validate a Confirmation of Permanent Residence or a permanent resident visa if I live in Canada?

If you already live in Canada, you have two options to become a permanent resident:

You can make an appointment at a Citizenship and Immigration (CIC) office near where you live in Canada. To do this, contact CIC’s Call Centre at 1-888-242-2100. You cannot call this number if you are outside Canada.

If your permanent resident visa (or one of your family’s) expires in two months or less, please tell the Call Centre that you need urgent processing.

If you are not able to make an appointment as set out above, you may leave Canada and return through an international airport or a Canadian land border.

When you arrive, a CIC officer will interview you, and grant you entry into Canada based on the information in your visa.

In either case, you will have to show the officer:

your passport, travel or identity document (including your visa sticker, if you have one), and
your Confirmation of Permanent Residence, permanent resident visa, letter of introduction or any instructions from the Canadian visa office, and
your proof of legal status in Canada, such as a valid work permit, study permit, temporary resident permit, or visitor document, or any immigration document you have (whether valid or not), or
proof of implied status (if you applied to extend your stay before it ended). Proof of this status may include:
payment receipt,
copy of your application to extend your stay,
printout of online application, or
proof of mailing.

Hi there
I am Jan 15 applicant. I was waiting for ppr. Today i call cic call centre he informed me my pr file transfer to india. I added my wife in middle of application once i get file number. I am worried about it. I think it would be more likely delay. Cic asked my wife document in October and in November they asked for pcc which i have provided in November. After that today i know they transfer my file to delhi on 7 January 2016. Please advise on this.
Thanks
Niranjan

Sorry but what I know is that cic do not provide any update until your processing time is passed. Please suggest how you managed to get the information ?

Thanks

Thanks for the response guys. I didn't know there was an option to land without going to the border. That's helpful. I will probably choose to make an appointment with CIC rather than go to the border.

Hello all,

Just a couple of questions , if someone could help . So,

1) What all documents we need to carry with us at the border ?

2) If someone accompanies us , how does it work out ? ( I mean does that person sit in the car , does that person need any documents for own )

3) Do they give us SIN number at the border ?

4) How many days we have to cross border after we got our passport with PPR stamp?

Answer to all these questions would be much appreciated .

Thanks in advance.

Now my ECAS shows Decision Made too.
NBUNB, we do not need to send work permits and other immigration documents along with the passports, right?

Nope. Usually CIC asks us to send:
1. Passport or photocopy of passport depends on if you are from a visa-exempt country or not.
2. Photos
3. Copy of the ready for visa email.

Hi Everyone,

I just have a question. My application was received on January 29, 2015 and I just got an email today saying ready for visa. My concern is that it says passport must be valid for at least 6 months. My passport is expiring on June 26, 2016. So I have 5 months left. Is it okay to still submit it? I'm planning to just write them a letter of explanation. I'm also 8 months pregnant and won't be able to travel to renew my passport.

Thanks!

I am getting a little stressed now. Most of the people that applied around me Jan 25-30 applicants already have PPR's. I might call CIC tomorrow, hopefully nothing unexpected happened with my file.

Anyone else who applied in Jan 2015 waiting on PPR?
