Hi all

I am planning on sponsoring my mom in 2019. Form what i know , I will have to meet income requirements for 2015, 2016 and 2017 in order to file for my mom and will have to maintain it through out the process.

Can anyone tell me the income requirement for a family of 2 and family of 3 for 2015?

If I have self employment income, the CIC will look at the net income or the gross?

One more question, if i use my common law partner income now, to meet the income obligations for 2015 and by the time I gonna apply for my mom, I am no longer in relation, will the income of my common law partner will be included or not?

The income figure for 2015 will LICO + 30%. If 2 people then $38618 if 3 people then $47476

It is gross income or line 150 on your option c printout/NOA

Common law partner income will be used if you are together on the date of application submission.

Where did you find this number? I saw 2014 LICO+30% is $38,272 and for 2015 I estimated the number around $39,300. Do you have a link to the source where you got the amount of $38,618?

Here's my timeline so far:
2011 - Applied to sponsor my mother
July 2015 - Got request for additional documents
October 2016 - Sent them
February 2016 - Got a letter saying that additional documents were received

Two questions:
1) How long will it be until the end of the application? My mother is in Moscow, Russia.
2) Once she gets the Visa, is there a time limit for entering Canada? Does she have to come to Canada within a year, or else she loses the Visa?
