Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to share that my family and I have landed as a permanent resident in Canada finally. My parents and one dependent who were in Pakistan landed last week at Pearson 2nd march 2016, I went to Rainbow Bridge last Saturday 5th March 2016 to do my landing process. First my Parents said they had no issues what so ever but it took them about 2 hours after their flight landed to go through all the process, this includes immigration officer, customs (declaring goods & money), got their sin cards at the airport. The whole process wasn't lengthy but it was all smooth and they had no issues, they said everyone was welcoming.
For me I went to Rainbow bridge as I had to wait until principal applicant (my dad) had landed to do my landing process, I drove early morning on Saturday and crossed the rainbow bridge (drove) the US people told me to park the car and officer will escort you back to Canada they gave me refusal letter (even though I told them I have Valid USA visa) anyways that process wasn't bad as I expected then I just drove back to Canada side.
There was a bit of lineup as it was Saturday and there were quite few people doing there landing process or some coming from states. It took me about 1 hour at the border and the officer called me told me to sign the COPR and also when I will receive my PR card in 3-4 weeks. That's it I got my new Sin Card & updated my Health card following business day... So that's about it, I'm really pleased to be part of this forum as it has helped me throughout the whole immigration process, I will try to check it once a week if I can help fellow forum peeps or you can shoot me message I would try to help as much as i can. And I wish Best of luck to everyone who are in their process and just wait your time will come! Thank you
