I am in same boat as you. Applied in Dec 2009 as well and now rec'd the request for documents and application etc. I called the CIC and they said once the application is transferred to ISB it will take another 58 months.

My visa office is also ISB. Did you received the documents request from ISB?

No I applied from Canada. The request is from Mississauga Office. After this they will transfer file to Islamabad.

Yes I know u r the sponsor living in Canada. But the marriage certificate for ur parents. So you can't produce tht in Canada. It has to b back home.in ur case Pakistan. I don't know much about registrations in Pakistan. I assume India and Pakistan has same type of administration. Why don't you ask ur parents to walk into magistrate or court and enquire about sworn affidavit stating that at the time of your parents marriage it is not registered so they will take oath in from of judge or magistrate with two witness. These witness may possibility attended marriage-nikah. Along with this affidavits you have to attach the passport copies of ur parents showing spouses name in the passport as well as form-B. But make sure PROOF OF MARRIAGE IS MUST.

My best advice for u is take some suggestions from fellow members of this forum who are from Pakistan. Good luck.

• When I applied back in 2009 my sister was under 22, and I as I know CIC consider the age of the dependent at the application time right? what if she is working now do you think that would affect the decision
• I did not deiced yet about the visa office I have to choose between Moscow and Abudabi, any advice?
• Can you recommend an immigration lawyer, I tried to call few but I can't understand why they don't look interested !!

I applied from Canada too, Mine is June 2009 and CIC asked the docs for eligibility purpose last year in March. I am in 2nd step, ISB asked for another series of docs and forms plus police certi. which were sent 3 month ago, just waiting for medicals.
