How long will it take now?
Police certificates take a long time to get from all the countries they stayed in.
Any experience?

I am in same boat as you. Applied in Dec 2009 as well and now rec'd the request for documents and application etc. I called the CIC and they said once the application is transferred to ISB it will take another 58 months.

You can take affidavit from court about your parents marriage, that will take only half hour max.

Finally got ahold of the CIC over the phone. The guy said that Mississauga is supposed to complete the assessment by the end of this month... Which month - August..September...never sure with them.
