got an email with my GCMS notes that i ordered 4 weeks ago. shows that on 4th of this month they still hadn't started criminality check.

I got GCMS too - and I'd like you confirm this for me

GCMS as of 6th May, 2013
File's next Assignment date is 16/6/2013
Criminality: IN Progress ( Updated 18/3/2013 )
Security: Not Started
Rest: Meds, RCMP, Eligibility Passed

Now, whenever they send and OUTGOING, they make an INCOMING out of it with info like Requested Date is 5/4/2013 for FBI, Due date 20/5/2013 - I sent FBI and received by CHC on 19/4/2013 but it doesn't show received in INCOMING, however when i got through previous such instances they seems to update it on thee Due Date where it fills items like received and date, and some have exact days and some the even 2 days later than due date which is not true but ultimately it shows updated and received
So my due date is 20/5/2013 for FBI ( this set of GCMS was from 6th May ) - Am I suppose to assume that's the date they will update and interestingly, when they returned my passport due to FBI request confusion, I sent them copy of FBI ( with edited PDF in bold letters saying THIS IS COPY ONLY ORIGINAL SENT ON 19 TH April ) so I hope they check that

Sakamath, whats ur take

Ranja, also what is your Due Date under Application Assignment

My take on this is that you'd receive Decision Made out of the blue in the next couple of weeks. Based on @ranja's notes and yours, it appears that NDVO is not updating the GCMS system as they should. As long as the files are processed, I would be happy with that.

Hi
Can someone answer my question below please

CPP Ottawa should have all the necessary documents CCQ (Quebec), Medical Exam ,Police Cert, and Payment for PR)

Which E-Cas should be updated...The sponsor or the sponsored

in Other Words, If I want to check the latest updates on the family sponsor application, which client ID should I use and when can I expect visa if Medical was done in March 2013

Thanks for your help

With NDVO, any interaction is a good sign....at least it shows someone is going through your file... :)

You could use either. If you use sponsor's id, you would have 2 lines "Decision Made" under Sponsorship Application and "Application Received" (or "In Process") under PR Application. If you use the sponsored client ID, you would only see the status of the PR application.

It depends on which Visa Office will ultimately issue visa. It can go up to a year after the medicals - on the pessimist side or within 6-7 months if you are an optimist. :)

You would have to refer to the GCMS notes (apply for one if you have not yet done so - note: only persons residing in Canada can apply for it). GCMS notes clearly mention what fees have been received and what are pending. Fees can be paid from anywhere but it is important that a copy of the receipt is emailed to CIC-M office as it is that office which updates the GCMS with the details of fees received.

GCMS notes shows the particulars of an application in CIC's system. Apart from details about the sponsor and the sponsored, it also gives us some idea about which stage an application is at. A typical process involves Eligibility, Medical, Criminality, Security and finally the Decision on the file. To order GCMS notes early in the process may not help as all stages would still be pending. There are 2 important things that can help you gain peace of mind (1) Notes made by an Officer (EG Interview not required etc) and (2) INCOMING and OUTGOING sections these sections give details of documents you have sent to CIC (Incoming) and details of requests CIC has made to you regarding your application (Outgoing). This alerts you to any requests that CIC says they have sent, but you may not have received it.

These notes need to be ordered within Canada (should provide Canadian mailing address) and takes about a month to arrive. Here's a link that provides more detail (thanks to User828)

https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/

As of now, CIC is still processing applications sent in Nov2009, So yes, it is too early to get anything at this point in time.

I wish they would send at least documents request for 2010 applicants this year.
