Hi everyone, I avidly read all the postings and can sympathise with those, like myself, who have been waiting over 4 years for PR.
Is anyone else dealing with London as LVO ? My daughter was approved to sponsor me 16th Feb 2012 and file was sent to Ottawa who then passed it to London on 16th May 2012 but since then I have heard nothing. I did send an e-mail asking when I could expect to be sent for a medical but the automated reply came back which just said refer to processing times on website. The London office shows 38 months for parents/ grandparents processing. Surely I won't have to wait another 3 years!!! Mine is a very straightforward case with no other family members involved.

Hi , I wonder what the original date of application was as this might have a bearing on when you get to the next step. Our case was sent to Ottowa but is being finalised (hopefully )as we speak ,in London as we are from the UK . I assume you are too.
I only know of one other UK case which was finalised after being processed through London this year . That was a single parent also with an original date of July 2008. The file transfer from Missisauga was fast and her visa was issued within 3 weeks of her medical in June this year.
It's very difficult to say when each case gets to the next stage as there doesn't seem to be any consistency in how long after transfer to be called for medicals.
I doubt very much that you will be waiting for another 3 years but you may be in the batch which is finalised in 2013 rather than 2012 because of quotas. Again it might depend on the date of application.
Which city are you heading for when you get approval?
