I am not sure why it took so long. But in the end they received visa so we will forget all the waiting pain.
My mother's name is correct on her passport. It spelled wrong on the visa stamp and on the landing paper of my father where she is coming as a company. Both places its wrong. They went to Chandigarh office but it was useless because they can not help. Chandigarh office just sent an email to ND office and advise my parents to fax all the wrong documents along with a request letter. They have already done that but for god sake they waited 5 year now still getting the wrong documents are making us frustration. So i advised them to go ND tomorrow morning and see if they can correct it right there or advise us how and when it can corrected.

Hi everyone, I avidly read all the postings and can sympathise with those, like myself, who have been waiting over 4 years for PR.
Is anyone else dealing with London as LVO ? My daughter was approved to sponsor me 16th Feb 2012 and file was sent to Ottawa who then passed it to London on 16th May 2012 but since then I have heard nothing. I did send an e-mail asking when I could expect to be sent for a medical but the automated reply came back which just said refer to processing times on website. The London office shows 38 months for parents/ grandparents processing. Surely I won't have to wait another 3 years!!! Mine is a very straightforward case with no other family members involved.

Hi , I wonder what the original date of application was as this might have a bearing on when you get to the next step. Our case was sent to Ottowa but is being finalised (hopefully )as we speak ,in London as we are from the UK . I assume you are too.
I only know of one other UK case which was finalised after being processed through London this year . That was a single parent also with an original date of July 2008. The file transfer from Missisauga was fast and her visa was issued within 3 weeks of her medical in June this year.
It's very difficult to say when each case gets to the next stage as there doesn't seem to be any consistency in how long after transfer to be called for medicals.
I doubt very much that you will be waiting for another 3 years but you may be in the batch which is finalised in 2013 rather than 2012 because of quotas. Again it might depend on the date of application.
Which city are you heading for when you get approval?

Medicals are valid for exactly one year from the date it was undertaken. What's the status on the e-cas? Does it say medical received?

Thanks for your response - sorry it took me a while to respond. E-cas is "in process" and "medicals received". It has been like that for a while - roughly since June with meds done in May. We've heard nothing from them since.

Most of us resubmitted the docs some of us just submitted the docx like supplementary forms.Its upto you to resubmit or just wrote them these are submitted already.
My suggestion would be submit again.All of us did that.

have u submitted the re copy of those documents ??? actually the problem is my brother was studying at that time when they asked for documents update but now he is doing job so i am lil worried whether i should start his studies back again or what ????

Hi Nanapush, my application date is 28th April 2008 and my daughter stays in Georgetown, Ontario (near Toronto).
Yes it is hard to compare my case with others here as very few with London LVO. I guess I shall have to be patient although I thought earlier on this year that everything would be finalised by the end of this year. My little granddaughter is now 7 and I have missed her growing up so much and I am not getting any younger.

Your time frame is very smooth and I just wish they had kept my case in Ottawa too. I hope you get your COPR very soon. Which city will you be going to?

Our medical expire on Dec 22nd....worried!!

But I have heard of cases where Delhi Office has called people up on phone to collect their passport 3-4 days before medical expire and ask them to land in Canada in next 2 days.
Hoping we get a little more time thne just 2-3 days.

Our case is also in LVO ISD.....we received letter from ISD mentioning that "submit the below documents if not submitted earlier". I sent them the additional documents which were note submitted earlier (PCC, Supplementary information form etc.) and explains them that other documents were submitted in March 2012. I submitted cpies of all documents alongwith cover letter which were submitted in March 2012. No news from LVO affter submission of documents in September.
Have any one received any letter from LVO ISD after submission of PCC?

these reducing backlog is only in newspapers ,Mr. kenney last year promise to give visa to 35000 under parents catogery and i dont think canada issue visa to 350000 under parents catogery,even i dont think ND LVO issued his 6500 quota this year ,if they issue visa to 6500 persons why the inventory still show same under last release ,they just trasferred 1 month files from from july to aug 2007 in 2010 ,how can it be possible for such backlog ,if they didnt tranfer just one month file in the whole year . last year Mr kenney said they will open parents applications in nov 2013 after 2 yrs pause ,now he is saying parents application will not start until 2014 ,they did survey in last july for change in parents application ,how we can improve it and we will tell result of this survey in falls ,now fall is over nothing is release abt that survey,they r making peoples fool in papers

Now this really pisses me off.
We received a letter from Delhi LVO to "ask your sponsor to deposit Landing fee & sumbit proof of payment via email to 'CPCM-EXTCOM @ cic.gc.ca'.

So I made on-line payment and sent the receipt to the email that was provioded in the letter.
Now today when I called up CIC call centre they said that there is no procedure to email payment receipts and that I need to fax it to them and that they have no record of payment.

Its been 4 weeks since I made the payment, we could have got the Visa by now.....CIC needs to get better organised.

I completely empathise with your feelings of missing your grand-daughter and she you I am sure. Our grand- daughters are 5 and 3 now but we have been lucky enough to visit for 6 months each year since they were born. Both our children are in the Vancouver area ,our daughter,married, has been there for 10 years and our son has been there since 2006.
I really hope you get some good news soon . It's good when you see other people getting visas but also frustrating when others behind you in dates are processed sooner. There seems to be no reason for those anomalies.
