Followed up with CIC today, they have transferred my file to CPC-O for processing :D

Good that it did not went to New Delhi :o

Pari4u, please update your signature with correct url link. it has htpps, it should be https

I suggest everyone else who is regular on this forum to as well have this signature so new users also update their status, this will help us track how CIC is processing Parent cases.

Still no single update to the individuals with dependent on their file. I called CIC yesterday and asked about the reasons for the delay...I guess people in this forum are more informed than CIC agents. Waste of time...The agent acted like a counselor and advised that we should not be worried as the decision would be eventually made.

You need to write this info on an additional separate paper and include it in your file when sending to CIC , I had the same thing.

Guys

If anyone who had an email sent to him by CIC let me know what is the email address, I need to add it to my contact list, cause most of the emails that are not there will go right away to the junk mail.

Thanks

Thanks

The one I received was from: Client-update-mise-a-jour @ cic.gc.ca
This was an email I got on March 31 and it confirmed that my application was received in Dec 2007 :)
(I guess it was autogenerated by the system when they updated something and created a file number for my parents in the sytem)
But if you hit reply it created the email to : donotreply @ cic.gc.ca

NOTE: THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY SPACES IN EMAIL ADDRESSES I MENTIONED - FOR SOME REASON THE POST ADDS SPACES WHEN I SAVE! (can not get rid of them, I delete and they reappear)

well......Update -File transferred to Ottawa.........Received the letter today.........gud as my mom is in canada rite now...................... ( I live in mississauga 2 kms away from CPC-M, so letters reach faster; maybe)

Anik- is ur file transferred to Ottawa/Local office.

I hope i get medical request soon. (but still no e-mails from CIC)

Also, does anyone have experience where their parent is in Canada and they have had medicals done in Canada.
I know medicals can be done at any DMP authorized by CIC, I want to know from someone who has underwent above mentioned exercise and dealt with CPP-Ottawa in this matter.

Medical results have been received.

Mockava/Shuga, was your parent/s in Canada meaning had their medicals done in Canada?

Congrats! Lucky you!
Nothing for me yet. Not sure where the file is transferred. One agend said 'local VO', the second one today said that they do not have access to such information :) (yeah, right...)

No, my mother in law is in Europe. Medicals have been done there, and send to Ottawa.

Have your parents applied for Visa extension if yes, then they should have done medicals by now. You just let CPC-O know that, they may/may not require medicals in done in less than 1 yr. It will be up to CIC staff to decide that they may go either way.

no, my parents are in Europe and results were send to the regional medical office in London

Visa extension doesn't necessarily trigger medicals.

As far as medicals go, my mom has been CIC's guinea pig. She has been in Canada 5 times and has underwent numerous medicals/re-medicals both in india and in Canada. My mom's quite healthy and is only 50 with no conditions/ailments(thank god).

well her last medical was more than 1 yr ago. Also I m planning to apply for her visitor extension, as her current 6 month entry will expire on jun 15.
Hope any medical (if requested) will be the last one!
