Hi ranja,
Thanks for the help. Yah I have talked to gaggidhillon over phone and he explained me the dependent child definition. I think u guys r right an I need to wait quietly. Thanks anyway. Keep sharing your timeline. Stay in touch.

Next7flight- What about studying in India while you are there insted of just waiting? even though u went to India for visit... u might get visa tomorrow but it can take also take few weeks, u can always continue study there. Just an opinion and no need to worry you will get visa with parents but u have to keep yourself on safe side eh!

Hi all,

I am not new to forum, but i spent all of my time in the skilled immigrant section and since i got our visa,i started planning our landing and living in canada.

One of my objective after landing is to sponsor my parents to come to canada, especially that i am their only son, they still working in UAE, but they r close to retirement age,so i hope to bring them to canada as soon as i got a job.

I hope someone will guide me or give me ideas on the rules and requirements for such sponsorship, and if i appeal for a humaniterian cause as well, since i am from somalia, and after my parents retire they cant go to home country as there is civil war stil going there.

Thanks all

Hi kandel,
I appreciate ur suggestion. I am going to wait for this month only otherwise I will join university in April. Wel I was 21.5 when my sister sponsored me so technically I falls under category A of dependent children definition. So many people told me I don't need to be a conditioned full time student.
But anyway study does nt hurt. I will join uni just incase...thx :)

and based on what we heard in this forum stick to your original stream, do not end up studying something completely different. better safe than sorry.

the parental sponsorship is closed for new applications at this moment. but they planning to open it again close to the end of this year with new rules and regulations. you just need to wait and keep checking cic site for updates.

Ramzy2227- Also try to get a job where you can earn enough income which is required to sponsor parents and their dependants....if there are any. You can see the minimum income requirements on CIC website or in this thread......as I believe there is good information in this thread on minimum income requirement.
Good look to you and your family.

RR

how to sum up the number of persons, is it like this parents ( 2 persons so thats 29,004$) or like parents+son+wife=4 persons ( 43,292 $) or also including me so that would be 5 persons ( 49,102).......besides i am new immigrant still looking for a job in calgary so the moment i find a job i can apply for sponorship or i have to wait for a year....plz advise?.........i would appreciate if someone explain how to buy the 100,000$ medical insurance.......is it like we have to pay an annual fees to a medical insurance company ( say like 3000 $) per person ....is it like this or....?

Count yourself as 1
Your spouse as 1
Your son as 1 (if you have only one child). If you have more kids count them as well.
Your father as 1
Your mother as 1

Therefore, total family members are 5 (which includes you, your spouse, kids + your parents). So, you have to make an income for 5 persons $49,102. Your income of $49,102 has to be in last 12 months. Once you get job and your income is $49,102 then you can apply for Super visa.

You need to buy medical insurance from a Canadian Company for Super visa. You'd be paying monthly insurance fee (if I am not wrong) and that would be around $150 per person. So, a total approx. $300 a month for both father and mother. You can contact an insurance advisor for medical insurance. $150 per person for medical insurance fee is my guess... I do not know the exact numbers...

If you want to sponsor your parents for immigration, then you have to wait until CIC starts accepting applications for parents immigration.

Can canyone kindly advise:

This is in regards the family case to Canada for my mother, who visited Australia for 8 months on tourist visa

Now got australian police clearence certificate which expires on 4th may 2013 (being 90 days validity) and my mother has yet no plans to visit again to Australia.

So my question is wouldn't this police clearance certificate expire if not requested by visa office before 4 may 2013.. Or should I send them anyway without asking to visa office New Delhi with covering letter of all her FILE and UCI NUMBERS.

if so what will be the correct address of New Delhi visa office OR kindly correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks once again for your time.
