I think someone inserted the closing file line in error while they only meant to add the last line.

I asked one of the popular CIC consultant (who also runs TV ADS), he also said never heard such a case. Asked me to get the file 1st & email CIC-O about this.

Only reason for CIC to close the file is due to abandonment i.e. not submitting the requested documents within 120 days of request. However, from information in the spreadsheet, it seems, you have submitted all the documents. Did you ever order GCMS notes?

Check if all the requested PCC's, Fees, and other documents were acknowledged and noted as received.

Quickest answer you can get is through your MP. MP office usually gets an answer within 24-48 hours. CIC may not respond to emails (which is likely as understood from experience of other members)

yes, as per GCMS notes requested in Sep. Everything was set, PCC fees & other docs were acknowledged. Even medicals were passed. Security was "In Progress". I will check with MP next week if I do not
received anything by mail or email.

no.

But when I called CIC today, I was told their was 2 applications, one was closed & other still in progress. Not sure what she meant, she never explained ( I don't think she knew what she was saying... ) & also said they only see CPC-M not CPC-O information. My CPC-M was approved in April 2012.

All this is so weird and scary to say the least)! I am hoping that this is some kind of mistake or internal processing that the system just did not handle correctly in terms of status update (i.e. that your case is not actually closed).
May be they transferred your case to LVO to issue a passport request from there and the system or the officer screw something up when updating the system statuses?

Congrats Navv89, lets see how long they take on our files. have we figured out how long LVO-ND takes once they ask for medicals and passports????

Listen......my medical & additional dccmnts request issued on 1st oct 2012 by LVO-ND......and so many people got this request on same day........they give us 2 mnths period for sending back dccmnts.......that v all know......so....i wnt state that CIC-ND didnt touch our application untill the 2 mnths period end.......bcoz 1 of our relietives got med.PPR request on 28th sep(With Dependents).......and they send dccmnts 10 days after us ....and got visa today.....
so i think.....u got good news in end of january 2013.....if my opinion right !!!!! finger crossed

in application...I m Dependent...23 years old.....with my mother....srry no one hv army background in our file......

i remember...my sister's in law parents.....have a Army background....and they done medical two times becoz.....after got PPR & med request...they got visa ater 18 mnths.....and medical expired...so they done two times.....

Becoz CIC take more enquiry for ex govt service employ.........But its 5 years old thing.......nw may be cic...chnge their paterns...gud luck

today our reletive got visa(with dependents){similer timeline with us}......after that i checked my.....and its decision made....
