Hi
I was in this situation until Monday. I saw where my line changed to two lines and they both said application received. Last night I called the call center and the agent pleasantly informed me that my appilcation was approved yesterday.
This is my time line:
Applicatioin applied 26th October 2009
Request for additional documents March 30 2012
Documents sent June 6, 2012
Letter of acknowledment July 17, 2012

I am sure you would here something soon but you could try calling in to the Call center to find out

Those who have got visa from Seattle office - How long does Seattle take to return passport with visa after they receive parents passports.

4 weeks, I know two cases that took 4 weeks after the visa office received the passports.

You must be wondering that as per your timeline, you should have got it way before the rest and yet this paperwork is getting messier

I can feel the frustration, going through the same - even GCMS notes is taking time, last time it was 30 days now its been 35 and not an email in sight, with LVO's etc we are seeing more complex things like interview, paperwork of the same etc, CPP-O was smooth for everyone

Thanks Everyone :)

Regarding GCMS notes, try to order just electronic files. I was told by CIC agent that they are taking around 2 weeks for processing (currently).

Within 24hrs I got reply back from CIC-O...
Dear Sir:

Due to an administrative error in assigning the UCI number, the file needed to be withdrawn in order for the correction to be made. We are in the process of rectifying the problem and will be creating a new file with a new file number. I will provide you with that new number once the new file has been created. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you

Great!!! you must be so relieved now.

Had a feeling it was just an administration error.

Who knows, they might speed up your processing to make up for the error on their part.

Best of luck.

I've been watching your latest news with dismay but am so delighted for you that it was not as it first seemed to appear. Hopefully they will hurry with your processing now and you will get a good result very soon.

Thanks. So it means mine would take 5 weeks including mailing time of 1 week.

One week has been passed... four more to go.....

Thanks, I know what a relief :)

Any idea, what exactly happened from reading these lines & if they are looking to create new file, where do you start?

Hi guys my mom got a call from ND VO for finger prints, does that mean bad or unusual. Has it happened with anyone? Are they going to interview as well on the same day.

not so good news. She will need to submit fingerprints to RCMP through ND VO. It takes 90-120 days to process. I know someone who got similar request 3 months ago for dad, file still on hold.

I have seen fingerprints requests coming for some parents (most likely either of them), which is ink based. If they submit finger prints digital (within Canada), CIC gets results in 3-5 days (if no record match). Ink takes minimum 90-120 days + travel time. Regarding fingerprints, they are always submitted to RCMP, never heard of case where they submit somewhere else. I could be wrong.

95% of the time this happens cause name & DOB matches with someone else or they do random request similar to citizenship process.
