passport request for dec 2008 ..that seems unbelievably fast.. :o

one of my friend who had sent medicals last year in september got visa today.. his medical was going to expire in one week :D

i guess things are moving at ND too :D

It seems CPP-O has resumed work on parents sponsorship cases. One of my friend who completed medicals in March received email yesterday to submit passports.

I hope things move quickly from here on. All the best to all of us.

Which office they are told to submit the passports ? Seattle or delhi?

Same thing happened in my case; when I did the MP enquiry, I was told my file went to ND and then back to CPP-Ottawa!! The plot thickens ;)

This seem to have happened to us too! I am still waiting for the notes but orignially my case was sent to LVO and then when I called the call centre they told me that my case was an the way to CPP ottawa and later I called again (thatwas in June) and they told me it is in ottawa...

Have not called for a while so I am not sure where it is now (and ahve not received anything yet :-(, still no medical request even...)

Its ND LVO. Same like Punjab. They can either submit by mail or VFS.

I am not alone 8) . Probably part of the process or no process at all ::)

An update from me: looks like our file is back to LVO (as I wrote earlier it was sent to LVO initially, then I was told several times by agent that it was in transfer to CPP-O and then at CPP-O).
I got an email yesterday with the scan of the letter they mailed to us with medical request and police certificate request. The email did not include the forms for medical but said they mailed it to us (and sent a emailed letter scan to let us know).

So it seems that they do move soem cases back and forth - not sure why...

Do I understand correctly that we can not do medicals until we get the mailed forms?
I hope they actually mailed them as the mailing address on application is my Canadian address (I am a rep and my parents are currently visiting here in canada)...The letter header has my dad's name and my mailing adddress (which is correct) so hopefully they mailed to that one (the only thing is that it may take a while to get here from my parents home country LVO)

Another issue is that I already mailed teh police certificates a while ago to the LVO (without the request as I figured they woudl expire anyway potentially). However, they never confirmed to me if they received and accepted them (I emailed but they gave me a generic answer that if we did not request something you should not have emailed and they could be lost - but the wording clearly suggested that they did not actually check if they indeed got lost).

By the way, my parents' application ecas status actually changed to in process saying that they started processing the application on August 31, 2012...Looks like LVOs may follow a different sequence of status updates... (we have not done medical yet, waiting for the mailed forms as per tehir email)

Also, a friend of mine whose mom's file was sent to Buffalo (after the sponsorship approval) but was moved to CPP-O after the closure, got the medical/PCC request finally from CPP-O
So, if anyone's case was in Buffalo - looks like CPP-O touched some of those.

This really sucks. It has been 15 months since I underwent my medical and sent my passport to New Delhi. MP inquiry informed me that my file is in queue for officer review.

In process????

It's mandatory to have status "in process" before decision made or notice for passaport?

Nope. I know of ppl who have recieved visas and their status still shows "IN PROCESS"

i believe that you have to wait for the forms... but you can try to go to a doctor with the letter if you know your parents UCIs - may be he agrees to do medicals without the forms?

i think that CPP-O starts with medicals and then starts background check when medicals are passed... and i have a feeling that LVOs start background check before medicals...
