Hi sonu i am too waiting for sponsership approval letter its letter was sent on 9 august 2012 but it was not yet rececived by how much time i should wait for the letter

Usually it does'nt take dat long but CIC advise to wait for 3 weeks before they resend it....hwever, after 3 weeks u can call cic n they can resend the letter. For me, I never recvd it n CIC told me dat i really don't need dat letter n they just told me what was the letter abt (i.e sponsership approval n notification of transfer of file to LVO)

Can you please share your time line. Do you have dependents? Based on my timeline,if you don't have dependents, once ur file trasnfers to ND, it takes about 3 months to ask for PCC and another 3 months for Medical and passport. If you have depedents, it takes much longer. It also
depends on ur original timeof application.

A question for all those whose files were transferred to CPP-O.
I received an email requesting medicals and PCC.
I had already sent PCC with additional documents in May 2012
Although the email says that no further action is required if PCC has been sent. I just wanted to make sure, how would I know that immigration has actually accepted it. I did send Ottawa pilot office an e
an email to confirm, but other than that if any one has any suggestions

Medical request letter dated : 7th July 2012
letter received at home on 17th July 2012
Medical done on 20th July 2012.
Passport sent to CIC Local visa office New - Delhi on 3rd August 2012.
Received passport at LVO ND on 4th August 2012

E-case status changed - Medical result have been received on either today or last Tuesday but i checked today online and came to know.

Question: Medical result have been recd means CIC accepted Medical for parents or they are going to ask again to do some more test?

I have noticed in lot of the cases where CIC asked for more medical test, ECAS didn't changed to MEdical received. Shuga's example is one where her mother has to go through more medical test and status didn't change to Medical received until CIC received the result of addition medical tests. So it is safe to assume that medical received means medical results are accepted.

With dependents on file, it does take longer for them to send requests for PCC, medical and passport. Both of our time lines are similar with the exception of dependents. Your file has dependents and mine does not. That is why its taking longer in ur case.

App Status: APPROVED
Transfer Date: 2012-08-16. Our file was sent to Pakistan instead of India and we are waiting for correction.

Does anyone know where interviews (if required) should fall within the Timelines?

Also, if brothers/sisters above 18 had a choice to either study in a College in the local language or attend privately run English classes, which would increases their chances of coming to Canada? Are there any other tips/advises and things to avoid for dependents?

Very good news. Could you please let me know your parents file transferred to Ankara or Iran for request the passport for issuing visa after Ottawa received medical test.
My mother leaves in Iran August 22, the medical test is done , doctor said he will send the result to Ottawa .
Just I am wondering about request passport , how long will take? Where she should go for visa Iran or Ankara?
I really appreciate for your respond.

What is your processing visa office? If it is not Ottawa, so it would be Ankara and Ankara is pretty fast.

Hello friends,

I have been reading all the pages on this forum and familiar with all the timelines. I am sponsoring my mother and father from new delhi (Visa office is CPP-O) and everything was fine and going as per timelines discussed here until their medical. They recd. a request for medical on March 30, 2012 and they went for the medical at Max hospital in new delhi around mid April. My father had undergone an arm surgery in Feb due to an accident and while waiting for the medicals, he started to feel un-comfortable. The doctor immediately started monitoring his heart and advised that he be moved to bigeer Max hospital and maybe undergo angiography. They even kept him in ICU for a night but everything was normal as reported by the doctors in ICU and he was discharged the next day and till today he is healthy by grace of god. The on-duty ICU doctor created a report detailing all tests done on his heart and the results were normal and I insisted that my parents have that report attacched to the medical to be sent to CPP-O. The medicals were sent a week later and I asked them to be sent to Ottawa address discussed on this forum and the tracking shows that they were recd. in Ottawa around end of April.

After that, my parents status has still not changed from "Application Recd." to "Medicals Recd." nor have we recd. any letter asking for more tests (identical to Shuga). Here are some of my questions:

1. When I log in with my details or my father's UCI or Application No., I just see my father's name and "Application Recd." under PR status. My father is the primary applicant. When I try to log in with my mother's UCI, there is no result. Is this expected?
2. I have called CIC call center numerous times but they say they cannot access my parents' info as the case is with a visa office but some people have had success in getting their case info. How is that possible?
3. I have emailed numerous times to CIC Ottawa but no response except the auto reply. Any way to get a reply from them?
4. I have ordered CAIPS electronic file on Aug 7. Is it sufficient to know what is going on or should I request physical files?
5. I also notice a typo in the new delhi residence address when I log in with my father's UCI. I have sent an email to CPC-O this week asking them to correct it but this should not prevent the letter from reaching them. The typo is still there on e-CAS. How much do they need to correct it?
6. I have been contacting CPP-O via email till now. Do you think Fax is faster?

You can order GCMS notes under 'Act for Access to information' http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp . This is not mandatory and the report will provide you with details of your parents case and its status. I am not sure how long it takes for the e-case status to change to 'in-process' after the medicals are received. I think its 3-4 months and after that another 3-4 months perhaps for decision made. Please see the google spreadhsheet where everyone from this forum has updated their timelines to have a better idea.
