Ankara has been one of the fastest, if not the fastest, visa office. However, expect its processing times to get crappy since it is now also dealing with tens of thousands of Iranian applications.

What is your processing visa office? If it is not Ottawa, so it would be Ankara and Ankara is pretty fast.

Hello friends,

1. When I log in with my details or my father's UCI or Application No., I just see my father's name and "Application Recd." under PR status. My father is the primary applicant. When I try to log in with my mother's UCI, there is no result. Is this expected?
Reply: Yes
4. I have ordered CAIPS electronic file on Aug 7. Is it sufficient to know what is going on or should I request physical files? Reply: Have you ordered Medical files, order e-file as well as physical. My parents medical were recd. on 14th MAy and their status shows medical recd. only on 20th August i.e. after 3 months. Their GCMS notes showed that the CIC officer had asked Delhi office for previous medical results from their last visit for comparison with present result and that took long time.
5. I also notice a typo in the new delhi residence address when I log in with my father's UCI. I have sent an email to CPC-O this week asking them to correct it but this should not prevent the letter from reaching them. The typo is still there on e-CAS. How much do they need to correct it? Reply: I heard fax is better than email.
6. I have been contacting CPP-O via email till now. Do you think Fax is faster? Reply: Yes

Hi Tejas
You are suppose to receive 2 letters. So far you have received only one like me....your file is still here in missisauga and you will recieve another letter (Approval letter) then your file will go to either LVO or CPP-O. When did you send documents? Do you have any dependants?

Good news!!

Mine was approved on June 4th and my medical came on August 1st.
So if yours took only bit more than a month, that's really fast!

If one of the parents fail the medical test, will they give VISA to the other parent or deny VISA for both...

Hello guys,

I need help.
I just checked my E-cas and it still says

<Permanent Residence Application Status>
<Application Received>

Out of curiosity, I clicked 'Application Received' and I see the following:

''We received (applicant)'s application for permanent residence on June 4, 2009.

Medical results have been received''

Is it normal? Is it good? I thought ecas suppose to change to 'Medical Received' from 'Application Received'. Does this change ever happen? (when I applied for PR, that's what happened.)

Thank you!!

EDIT: Medical done on August 13 or 14th (can't remember..) and the doctor's sent the result on the 17th.

Were medicals done? If yes, it sounds like everything is ok and next step is a passport request. :)

Oops! Sorry for not providing all the info.

Does it mean that my parents passed the medical?
