Is this specific to FC4 applications (i.e. parents and grandparents)? This would seem typical for skilled workers already in Canada or spousal sponsorship where spouse is in Canada, but on this forum there has not yet been an FC4 application finalized through CPP-O. If you know of some, please let us know.

Question to all forum people: My parents received a request for medical from LVO New Delhi. What medical conditions (If any) will trigger denial for PR visa? My parents are healthy for most part. My mother has Cardiomegaly ( Enlarged Heart) and she is 64 year old. Does this condition impact her case in any form or shape? Please respond if anyone has any information.

Thank you for your reply. This really makes sense - if a sponsored parent is in Canada, what's the point of sending passport overseas to get a visa stamped, especially if Ottawa is handling the case. Lets wait and see...fingers crossed.

To me, it make sense now, since my dad has my two other siblings (still in our home coutry) as his 2 other dependents. I guess this way leads to early released of visas from both CPP-Ottawa and LVO. Plus, the applications being processed in CPP-Ottawa is getting crowded. Also, I am wondering about applicants who are still outside Canada and their applications are being processed in Canada. I remember one from the other forum, my LVO forum. We all know that passports are government property, not personal, which are provided with some restrictions. I trust the immigration officers are very aware of that. If sending passports to the LVO is a way to lessen my wait time, of course, I wouldn't mind doing it and paying extra bucks. Current immigration system for Family Class (especially parents) is improving, I am seeing that and it is making sense now (at least) My dad's application has been transferred in May to our LVO and we received bunch of requests from our LVO in July dated June 2012. That is way too earlier than what we expected.

I am a nurse and i seen a lot of new permanent residents with a lot more frightening health condition than your mom's. :)

The CPP-O just started sending out Passport Requests from July for FC4 applications. The CPP-O has several business lines handling different categories of PR applications. The passport request I got is for an application finalized at CPP-O where is the applicant (not the representative) has a Canadian mailing address (ON). I believe that CPP-O will send passport requests on behalf of the corresponding LVOs for the applicants with a foreign address outside of north America.

Yes, please share your timeline and and also information about any other FC4 apps at CPP-O that are being finalized. We do not have any reported on this forum to date and many of us are eager to know the next steps!
