Question to all forum people: My parents received a request for medical from LVO New Delhi. What medical conditions (If any) will trigger denial for PR visa? My parents are healthy for most part. My mother has Cardiomegaly ( Enlarged Heart) and she is 64 year old. Does this condition impact her case in any form or shape? Please respond if anyone has any information.

It is little little ...relief to know that NDVO started looking to files and started sending medical request...

I guess you are the first in 25th November 2011 batch to get medical from Local VO.

Another forum someone received an email from Ottpilot asking to send passports to Beijing ......link http://www.rolia.net/f/post.php?f=0&p=7702354

He/She received an email from Ottpilot asking to send my parents’ passports to Beijing to finalize the case.

Sponsorship received Sept 11, 2008; DM at the end of Feb, 2012; ME March 22; ME done Mar 28; IP started on June 7, 2012, still IP on CIC website

OK 3 friends from work whose parent/s just received visas stamped August 1, 2012. One from India, 2 from the Philippines. They are all 2007 applicants! I can't get more details as they will be working at different shifts and we all just got back from our long weekend.

Thanks for the exciting info, but what do you mean by "parent/s just received visas stamped August 1, 2012" . Does that mean they entered Canada? Or they are in Canada? Do you have more info on this, please...

The quota for Ottawa changed from 15000 to 11000. In this case, those files transferred to Ottawa after March 15th, will be processed and approved in 2013 or after.

1. Where did you read about the quota?

and

2. Who estimates that those files transfered after March 15th will be approved in 2013?

There is another individual on this forum from NDVO that also received letter for medical and passport. In our case, my parents received letter dated 07/21/12 from NDVO
asking to get medical done and send passport.

Yes, I have noticed that too! I am wondering why they reduced. That sucks :-(

Where did you get the March 15 date 'cut-off'? Some calculations?

Also, they closed Buffalo and supposedly those cases were supposed to be moved to Ottawa... And still the reduction.

Were other offices' quotes reduced as well? I only remember Ottawa old quote - did not save or memorize the 'old' numbers for any other locations....

Question for all: Once my parents get the medical done, how long should they wait to send their passport to New Delhi Visa Office?

The quote for each LVO. The number seems updated.

does it mean that as soon as they reach the quote they stop processing applications for 2012? what happens to those who are still in the waiting list?

When you compare the historical data, some LVO did process slight more or less than the quota. Usually more for each LVO, however no benefits for CIC officers to process more, since they are paid for annual salary, not hourly salary. No overtime will be paid if doing so.
