I'm curios to know too. It looks like 2008 applicants were not required for that one, because we already did include it in our initial application in 2008. Maybe 2009 applicants were not required back then for that form, and CIC is asking them now? But it's unlikely, because we did the financial evaluation based on that form, so I don't understand it.
I agree with alba1, the tax year for 2009 is 2008, so that means that for those who sent in their original file in 2009, they need to provide 2008 option C printout, but the strange thing is that we did include that one previously when we first apply back in 2009, why CIC are asking for the same C printout again???

She may have misunderstood as you filed in April/08 so she thought you are supposed to submit 2007. CIC clearly stated in the checklist that "Tax year you submitted...." so key word here is "Tax Year" if you submitted your application in 2008 then you need to send 2008 option C print out and NOT 2007. It's very simple.
My understanding is that "Don't just blindly send all year option C print out as someone suggested here, just send exactly what they asked for" sending "Everything" is unnecessary.
I think that is not quite correct the tax year for the year you submitted your application is the year prior, so if application was submitted in 2009, the tax year should be 2008, and that what the CIC mentioned earlier to someone in our group.

I think you better check with call center agents, If they need option-C they would ask that specifically but not the whole application package.

Hello All,
Need some guidance based on your experiences with the PCC:
Regarding PCC from India - the letter from the police has date period in it, meaning they only issue for a specific period. The letter states - "The applicant has not come to any adverse notice during his period of stay for the period mentioned below: From DD/MM/YYYY to DD/MM/YYYY"

In our case this is a 8 year period.

Has anyone sent PCC in this format? Any issues?

Thanks and regards

why is the period in your letter 8 years?
it looks like the PCC supposed to cover the period from the age of 18 - my letter from cic says:

You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18. It is your responsibility to contact the police or relevant authorities and apply for the required police certificate.

Instructions and information on obtaining a police certificate from any country can be found on our Web site at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp.

My parents got PCC from Passport office in India. They dont have any timelines specified in it. Are your parents staying in that area for 8 years?

Although we have not yet received the letter re: medicals and PCC, we would like to get started.
It is my understanding that my mother would have to obtain a police certificate from all countries in which she resided for more than 6 months.
If she was in Canada for more than 6 months, would we have to produce such a certificate or is CIC able to do their own checks?
Does anyone know?
Please advise!
Thank you!

No, you don't need one from Canada, my mom has been here for three years and I didn't get one. In the instructions it says so.

Hi Friends

Can anybody help answer these questions for me...

1. My Father's name shown is CIC Status and CIC Letter is incorrect just a couple of letters here and there. I checked the sponsorship form and the name i wrote on that is correct. Also all his forms that we submitted in Dec, 2011 have the correct name. what can i do to correct the name.

2. I did not submit any birth certificates for my parents nor any marriage certificate for them. Should i ask my parents to get them made and submit them now...if anybody has any format or more details on how many affidavits are required can you please let me know..

3. Also my parents are planning to travel to canada in May,2012. I gave my name as representative so I am hoping any further request should come to me. Any idea what are the costs of medical in Canada.

4. My status still shows 2 lines of Application Received and NO DECISION MADE. Is this any cause to worry?

5. I did not pay the fees for RPRF fee and i read in this thread that online does not show CPC-O in the list so how can we pay the RPRF fees online.

Thanks in advance..

Check CIC call center, they might be able to correct it

I think your application is approved, so you may not need them now, but you better have them ready just in case to avoid any delays

Yes, further requests come to you. I am not sure about the costs of medical, you could call any DMP in Canada and ask

4. My status still shows 2 lines of Application Received and NO DECISION MADE. Is this any cause to worry?
Don't worry about this. This will change in a week or two

5. I did not pay the fees for RPRF fee and i read in this thread that online does not show CPC-O in the list so how can we pay the RPRF fees online.
You can pay it by selecting Mississauga office. I recommend to check with CIC call center

Thanks in advance..

Not sure why. Maybe because the address that was filled out in the PCC form had that date in it.
We came to know this yesterday, when we got back the PCC. It took over 5 weeks to get it from the police authorities in India. Now my dilemma is should we submit the PCC as it is with those dates, or apply for another one from the Indian Consulate in Toronto? If we apply for one (it will have to be only next week as passports will be needed for medical tests) it takes 6 weeks for Indian Consulate to issue one and our deadline for submission is 3rd June .... ahhhhhhhhhhh

Any issues in submitting it as it is?

Thanks and regards

different forum - same people :)
1. i would try to correct the name - call cic, if it does not work - write an e-mail to CPP-O, send a letter asking to correct the name, send them a fax...
2. not sure...
3. i think cost in Canada is about $150-$200 - find a DMP in your are, call and ask...
4. my guess is that status is not updated yet...
5. pay fees for Mississauga office...
