There are a few items I need to correct, but the one that I am now confused is for IMM5768, they are saying the form is incomplete, and mentioned Question 8 is missing one of the following: SIN, handwritten signature, and date.

I double checked my submission and I typed the SIN, dated and printed the form wet signed it with my handwritten signature, not sure what was missed. One thing I noticed is that form is an older version from 2021, and I remember seeing other applicants asking for the signature part back in May/June as we were not able to type the signature field, can only be printed and handsign it which is what I did.

Can someone please help me on how to do this part correctly?
You need to recheck the form and check the right box and signature/date for the Sponsor or Co-signer section, if apply!
Btw, I also used the 2021 version, I added the signature electronically on the form by using Adobe PDF~

So if you want the PDF, you are getting the "paper application form". You can't have online and PDF at the same time. But I am pretty sure you can download the "paper application" PDF form. Fill it and upload to IRCC when it's requested.

So.... here it is:

If you click that drop down.
How to download and fill out the form (paper applications)

You should see the following:

No need to worry. I applied in May. Still no update. I think they have an automated system that picks files based on the Invitation # or something else.

Hi everyone,

I got selected to apply for my parent's PR and receive the confirmation on July 31. Email says, "This email confirms that you have successfully submitted the permanent residence application".

Now its been 3 months and haven't heard anything from them. Anybody in similar situation like me. Any advice or suggestion will be highly appreciated.

I submitted on June 20 and have not received any update/notification from IRCC. Waiting patiently though, i had raised a webform to request for a status and they replied back saying that once the officer starts reviewing the application then i can expect some notification but until then just wait.

Hi fellow applicants in the same boat or in the boat that has sailed a bit farther :)
Application submitted on july 29th - nothing so far not even documents required.
@hims0912 I got the same response when I called up. I will @ you to my post on calls.. When I submitted the webform they said they could not find anything - We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is not available in the system yet
Rest assured that we are making all the necessary efforts to finalize applications as soon as possible and you will be contacted if additional information is required.
We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

.Ideally I should panic but I am relying on the word YET at the end .. meaning it is not picked up by anyone yet..
@GaryK - same boat
@indo.can - thank you for sharing.. this does put me at ease especially the fact that you applied in May itself.. I had been living in guilt for applying on 29.07 as opposed to say in June or early July.
@jmathew - indo.can responded but I think I have seen a few other June applicants who have not gotten anything..

I know IRCC have a lot on their plate and PGP is not their priority as our parents are burden on the economy.. but sometimes a few decisions in one's life depend on this.. hence I come to this page often to check what's going on but mainly to share my fears - thank you for reading and responding..

Hey Fam, I am very concerned.. I called up the IRCC and they advsied me that my parents application is in the queue to be picked up for initial check. This was my third call and in all three calls I got different answers
1) A temporary application number was provided and that my application is in process
2) The application is in process
3) In the queue to be processed.

I wonder if the agents in point 1 and 2 meant the same thing stated in point 3 but just said differently. As far as that application number is concerned may be it is some random temporary number...

My main concenr is what if they have already acheived their quota for this year.. I asked this question to the third agent as well and they said they can't say that but if that;s the case I will be notified. If that happens I will be really devastated because I submitted the applicaiton on 29th of July however I could have easily submitted it a few weeks sooner but just took my time to ensure accuracy...
Also, myth or truth but a family friend advised that they do not actually start to process until the due date which was 2nd August.

Anythoughts from the senior members or previous applicants would be realy welcome....

Nothing is guranteed, I am suggesting that it's happened and possible. Canada prefers that you rather stay temp, pay for own insurance and don't apply for PGP as they see that as a burden due to age and future medical cost. They are happy to see you take the expense and not miss loved ones ( which is why supervisa was introduced ).
The volume of temporary residents is out of control and many don’t actually have plans to return home which is problematic. 5-7 year “visit” is not a true visit if you want people to return home. Like many other programs I would assume there is pressure to tighten up this program. Many end up without insurance and hospitals go without payment at that point. Even in a supervisa many end up using healthcare which does put a lot of extra demand on the system.

My parents biometrics are valid until December 21, 2024.

I applied for visitor extension on October 10 asking for two year extension.Today I got a letter from IRCC saying that the biometrics are still valid but it says they have to be valid for the entire duration of the stay in Canada. Will we have to do new biometrics if so how should we?
Yes they’ll need to repeat their biometrics.

Thanks for your response!
My parents stayed with me for 1 and a half year on visitor record, we did just one extension.

That being said, extension is not guarenteed. IRCC can and will deny extensions whenever they feel like. Immigration is always a privilege and never a right.

For supervisa, I believe, the person in Canada has to provide a guarentee to paying all bills plus has to maintain a certain amount of insurnace coverage.

I personally used Cigna insurance. Initially it was a problem because you have to pay the Island health upfront and then only claim back the money. Then I went to VIHA office and talked to them and got them to agree to bill Cigna directly.
