According to the posts on the PGP 2023 discussion, it varies. Some already got PPR now (applications submitted Oct - Dec 2023) and some haven't even received AOR (email about receiving a completed application with an application number).I submitted the parents-grandparents sponsorship in 2020, after 4 years finally get ITA this year 2024 on May 23. I submitted everything in the portal in early June, 2024. Does anyone has experience how long does it take to get the AOR?
Hi everyone,
I am preparing the documents to sponsor my Parents as finally received invitation letter.
I have a question:
I was separated from my ex in early 2021 . Our divorce finalized in June 2022. Should I add him to calculate the family size for those two years??? I am eligible financially in the last 3 years to support my parents and myself but he was not a part of family in anyway since 2021.
I appreciate if you have any ideas about that?
Yes, you would say self employed by the sounds of it. I think you would be providing your own paystubs and obviously your personal tax return. Your personal tax return is what is important and needs to meet LICO. Your corporation's income cannot be used towards LICO. Not sure if I've understood your question.Hi All - I am a bit confused on how to fill the IMM 5768 form . Here's a summary of my employment history:
2021 : I worked full time so I have T4
01/2022 - 07/2022 - Full time - have T4 for this duration
08/2022 -12/2022 - Contractor ( Incorporated)
01/2023 - 12/2023 - Contractor ( Incorporated)
I guess on the form i should be selecting self-employed as that is my current employment status. Should i be providing my SIN # in the form ? Should i provide a letter of explanation and all my paystubs /corporation income proof as supporting documents ? I have a letter from the organization that facilitates my contract / payments with the Organization i work for.
If anyone here could guide me through this, would greatly appreciate.
I believe this requirement is for the sponsor to show evidence that he/she has status (PR or Citizen) in Canada to be able to sponsor."Proof of Status" should be of Principal applicant or the sponser ? or both ?
You might need to upload a letter of explanation of why you cannot provide the document asked for (birth certificate). it would be ideal to get an official document from a government agency that "no records can be found in the existing records they have" and then submit that as part of the explanation letter.for PGP 2024 , what shoud be uploaded in ** Birth certificate (required ) - Box ? if birth certificate not available ? because as per box title only birth certificate should be upload, you can't leave empty because it is "required" box, submit button won't active till you upload "something" in the box , i have affidavit for birth as well other supporting documets, those are not "actual birth certificate" which is uploaded in "supporting document" section, can you please help/explain what need to be upload in "required" upload box , if actual document is not available ? thanks in advance.
I believe as the sponsor, you need to provide your Proof of Status. Now you are a citizen, it makes sense to provide your Canadian Citizenship documents.Hi, I have 2 questions:
1) For the Proof of Status, should I upload the proof of my status in Canada or something else?
2) I was a permanent resident when I submitted the interest to sponsor form and now I've became a Canadian citizen. What documents do I need to provide in this case?
You can refer to people's timelines here from their signatures or profile. I have mine in my signature.I submitted the parents-grandparents sponsorship in 2020, after 4 years finally get ITA this year 2024 on May 23. I submitted everything in the portal in early June, 2024.
