Hello,
I understand that the primary sponsor (me) needs to upload their birth certificate to show proof of relationship (I am sponsoring my mother). I do not have a birth certificate and whenever I have been asked one, I have usually provided by Grade 10th Marksheet from India that clearly has mother's name as the evidence. I have also used my passport as another evidence. My question is if these proofs would be acceptable now, or are they very particular about the birth certificate itself (which may not be possible to be re-issued now) ?
Use what you have always used and include an explanation in a letter of explanation.

I submitted my parent's application yesterday.

A couple questions:
1. I paid for $565 and $515 using different credit cards and attached 2 receipts as instructed. That's okay, right?
2. I didn't include the biometric fee. My parent's biometric is valid till 2029, but I think according to the the new rule, as it is for a PR application, a new biometric is required, right? Can I pay this later?
- On the checklist, it says:
IMPORTANT: A copy of the exact status in Canada document you submitted with your 2020 Interest to Sponsor form must be included with your application. Otherwise, it will be returned to you!

When I submitted my form in 2020, I was PR but now I am a citizen. I don't remember what document exactly I uploaded! (was it my PR card, my COPR, my passport from home country?) In Proof of Status, I included every one of the above documents. Would there be any issues?

Thanks!

I don’t think so. As you included all it could possibly be.

Not paying for biometrics now will cause delays to your application.

1. So we definitely need to pay for biometrics even if they're valid till 2029? I saw in 2022 thread that someone didn't have to do it again! So was this a new rule?
2. Can I pay that 85$ separately and somehow upload it to avoid any delays? or am I SOL?

Hey guys, something weird just happened, I was about to submit the application.. pressed submit then I got an error that there is a technical difficulty, then I pressed again and nothing happened. Logged out and logged back in it shows application as submitted. I didn’t get any emails or anything. Did you all get emails after submission?

Thanks
