Impossible to say could be weeks but also could be years. They still have to do background checks and then final review. Pre-arrival letter is not tied to processing time. Posted processing time outside Quebec is still 36 months so those who are receiving PPRs are the rare cases being processed extremely quickly.

Thanks God yesterday we got Passport submission letter.

Same, my wife and I both received an email I guess because we are sponsors, but both canadians. I guess we will just respond to the one for my mother in law

Hi all, any suggestions appreciated. This is the situation, mother received biometric req and got the appointment for tomorrow. Just received eligibility to sponsor email as well. In the email says
"Instructions for the medicals will be sent separately. Please
complete all required testing within the timeframe specified on the instructions."
Since mom lives far from the city, it would be convenient to get the medical done on the same day as biometrics. Wondering if it would be okay to book for medicals without waiting for instructions?

Hi Guys, I hope you will be able to help me with my questions. Once application submitted to sponsor, if the CIC found out that sponsor did not meet the income limit do they refuse you as sponsor right away or do they still continue to process and request for additional documents such as Police clearance? Thank you.

Received biometric and medical requests on same day April 23, 2025
Submitted both medical and biometric this week
Now I guess have to wait for p1 and p2 letter which I don’t understand what it means
Can someone please explain what they mean? My guess was after this it’s the passport request for a PR visa but I may be completely off he

Hi there, Is it possible also to receive a letter like ineligible to sponsor after submitting the police clearance. I have a problem about not meeting the income requirement for 2023 but I received a request to submit police clearance of my mom. Appreciate your response.

I have a quick question:
I applied for my mum at first n putting my dad as her dependant which will not be traveling with her. Now at the medical stage I decided for both of them to travel together, since they r asking for medical&police report for both of them.

Will I have to pay all the same application processing fee that I paid for my mum for my dad again or does the previous payment covers them both?

Hi all,

got an email from IRCC on submitting Police certificate, passport, updated email address and residential address. So for email and residential address, should I just put those in a word file and upload it as its same on my parents end, nothing changed.

Also 2 method to upload, 1) IRCC Secure Account (myCIC) or 2) IRCC webform. Which one is easier as no idea how to upload in those as option one IRCC seems complicated.

Any idea once I upload these what happens next? They call for medical or biometrics?
