Just a note that they usually don’t even update the status in the file. We have submitted my parents passport to Turkey and they have sent it back to our VAC office but the GC key is still showing “reviewing background check”. And ECAS is showing DM.
According to what I have read here, only applicants that have submitted their passport to Ottawa the status have changed after passports were ready for pick up.
Just regularly check ECAS as well.

Thank you! and I fully agree. I was just replying to other users' post, to check if there is any difference on that user's side and mine

It does mean something, it means that the PA's eligibility is passed. According GCMS notes whoever has passed eligibility gets Pre Arrival... Most people who get pre arrival get PPR. So, why would it mean nothing?
What’s the process for requesting GCMS notes? And when is it considered appropriate to request these notes?

Received pre-arrival services email from CPC-Ottawa. How long does it take for them to print COPR after this, does anybody know?

or is it how they let us know they received passports for COPR and visa ?
you got a letter in Sep 13 ????
check MY CIC, you will see info about visa there

Hi y'all,

Just a quick update - Decision Made in Ecas (Principal Applicant) - Yulia, could you please update the spreadsheet?

And now.. the question that has probably been answered a million times already... How long until mycic account will be actualized, and the rest of the docs are issues? My parents don't need a visa to enter Canada, so I guess there's not going to be a passport request.. What would be the next steps here?

Thanks!
should be anyway in MY CIC acc, you need CORP to get PR

Hi,

Question about someone i know:
applied May 2018, Origin, Pakistan through London visa office, received their medical request this month (Oct/19) as well as request of police certificate and birth certificate, not sure why they asked for BC, they had already submitted initially with the application. Question is if everything goes okay, how long would it take to get passport request?

Thanks

Hi everyone,

My parents received PPR on Sep 25. They are instructed to send their passports to Ottawa. Given that they are currently residing outside of Canada, they can not send their passport to Ottawa at this point in time. I have contacted the cic through web form. However, I have not yet heard back from them. Does anyone have a similar experience? Do you know what will happen now?

TIA
you can send passports to VAC back home, but call to CIC

Woohoo....PPR today.
Line 244 @YULIA-2016

One question: Should my parents land in Canada within 6 months of receiving COPR or what is the time limit for them to land?

Regards,
check visa - due date is there, should be 1 year from medical is passed
