No, it does not mean that your application is approved. Pre-arrival services letter is issued after the relationship between you and your parents has been verified. Your application is almost done though because CIC does not offer government funded services to random people. They send it to people who have a very good chance of becoming PR.

Generally speaking, pre-arrival services letter is a good thing. Some members on this forum didn't even receive the pre-arrival letter and got PR.
Thank you so much for the information highly appreciated your explanation

Hi Guys,

My parents had their medical done on Friday, March 15th. By when should I expect to see an update on CIC? This was an e medical. Also do they bother about borderline high sugar cases? Not diabetes but just borderline high.

hello, please update the spreadsheet. Line 35.
@YULIA-2016

Received request to submit copy of passport (as visa exempt country) on the 18th of March.
We've sent an email to inquire about the status on the 15th of March, as pre-arrival letter was received on February 8th, and did not hear from the since. My mom planned to travel to Canada either way in April and just needed to know if she should apply for ETA as a tourist.
After the inquiry, the passport request came in almost immediately (after the weekend).

LVO was Ottawa however passport copy along with photos was requested to be submitted to LVO in Warsaw, Poland.

Hi All, my mother just got this email from the Regional Medical Office, High Commission of Canada, New Delhi. What does this mean, I am very worried! Any guidance or explanation would be greatly appreciated...

She is calling Elbit to get an appointment for a re-visit as soon as possible.

Medical File Number: CCCCCCCC

Dear --------------------,

This is in reference to your visa application for Canada.

Further medical information is required before a decision can be reached. Details have been sent to your eMedical file regarding the medical information required. Please return to see the Panel Physician who performed your immigration medical examination or to another e-Medical enabled Panel Physician (http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx). The Panel Physician will arrange for the additional medical tests to be carried out and will forward the results directly to this office.

Please contact PP for an appointment to comply with this request at the earliest. Failure to do so may result in the closing of your Immigration medical file, which may result in the refusal of your application.

Please quote your IME number on all correspondence with this office.

Sincerely,

Officer

It means they want her to go through additional medical tests. There must have been some anomalies in her medical history or tests that CIC needs additional tests to make a decision.

My dad went through the same process because he had TB before. It worked out in the end.

Hi, We received medicals and PCC request. I have questions,
1. It says send original PCC. Can we upload PCC to GC account as it has a place to upload or do we need to send original by post?
2. Is PCC required for last 10 years only as travel history form need only 10 years information?
3. Medicals- Does physician send the report to Visa Office directly?

Q1. Just upload a copy of PCC. It must be in English or French.
Q2. For each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, PCC will be reqiured.
Q3. The physician will submit the results directly.

Thanks for your reply! She has been asked to see a cardiac specialist who is doing ECG, stress test etc. This is is pretty worrying!
