Hi All,

I sponsored my parents as a part of PGP 2018 and they received their PR last year in November. They were planned to land here in early May but unfortunately my father had to undergo major surgery in April due to which they were not able to travel in May 2019. Now the problem is he might have to undergo another surgery and I suspect he might not be able to travel even by august-2019. My parents visa expiry date is August 23rd 2019. I don't want them to lose their PR. Can anybody please advice what can be done in such situation? Should I inform CIC about their current health status and inability to travel in short term ? has anyone seen any case like this before? Any suggestions/thoughts would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

You are obliged to update CIC if there has been any change with regards to the health of your parents before they land.

PCC request letter from London says "Provide an original police clearance certificate". Does this mean they need an original certificate through courier or something? Or can I just scan and upload in the GCKey account?

Can those who have received the PCC request (especially from London Visa office) please advise? Many thanks.

Have you received both Medicals and PCC ?

My app is in LVO. I sent them scans of the UK PCC. If that is what you have already sent too, then yes this may mean original hard copies.

I haven't sent them anything yet. Did you email them or did you upload in GCKey account? And did your PCC request letter also said "Provide an original police clearance certificate?

Yesterday I called CIC and the agent mentioned something about a letter (sent via snail) that has been sent to my mom (dependant) from London. I called again today asking about the contents of the letter and another agent said that there's no mention of a letter...

Are you guys aware of a letter that's being sent out after passed IME?

Anyhoo, best of luck!

Dear Seniors, need your help, I am sponsoring my parents under the 2019 PGP program, recently I was promoted in my job and my company is looking to send me over to London for a senior role there for 1 year to grow the team over there, I am still part of this Canadian company but due to tax complication they have to move my pay roll to UK. Will that impact my sponsorship of my parents? I am still having all my ties in Canada such as a house, car, bank accounts etc and will not abandon my residency in Canada, just that I will have to spend 1 year there and will return to Canada after that. Any one in similar situation?
