I asked this question before but didn't get your input, can someone please help me plz.

"My parents have misplaced their marriage certificate but their birth certificate shows spouse name and date of birth along with children information. Can they submit their birth certificate in turn of marriage certificate? Also, for all of the supporting documents, do they want the actual certified translation or a photocopy of it is enough? e.g. for Photocopy of the sponsors birth certificate, can I provide a photocopy of an older translation or do need to provide original copy of translation? Thanks for your help guys!"

What did you provide for your own PR application ? I recall birth certificate was a requirement when I had applied in 2013.
Hi razerblade,
thanks for responding.
I never had a birth certificate and I'm not sure what exactly i had provided at that time but i know i have kind of letter from the department which says that they can't find my birth certificate and i may have submitted that with my application.
The question here is bit different..
As I need some document ( in this case birth certificate) to prove my relationship to father, i'm not sure what other document can satisfy the need?

I'm not sure about alternatives. But you could still get a birth certificate made. I was able to get one for my PR application few years ago.

Alternatively, do you have any official transcripts from back home (assuming you did your schooling there) that show your parent's names ? I'm not sure if that will work, but at least better than nothing.

In addition, best to get an affidavit made swearing that they are your parents.

As mentioned earlier, please use any advise passed around on this forum "at your own risk". None of us are experts.

I hope I understood it correctly, but just double-checking.

About the two photos of applicant that need to be submitted with the application, one photo has to have on the back the applicant's name, applicant's date of birth, address of photography studio, and the date photo was taken... and the second photo has to be completely blank from the back. Right? Or is it like both the photos have to have all this information written on the back?

Can you please confirm? Thanks.

Hello All,

I have a question regarging schedule A personal history portion.

My father is running the same business since 2000 till date. Do I mention that in one line (2007 till date) or do I write down yearly? Also my father travelled alot the past 10 years (max 2 weeks stay) for business purpose. Will I have to mention regarding each trip?

Please advise

Have to account for each trip. My case is similar. I filled out 17 pages accounting for all of my Dad's travels.

You have to fill it in sequential timeline, as far as I know. That's how I did it.

The guide has instructions and an example on how to do it. Make sure to not leave any gaps in time.

Copying it here:

Question 6

Note: Please make sure you DO NOT leave any gaps in time.

Important information: Failure to account for all time periods will result in a delay in the processing of your application.

Provide the details of your personal history since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent.

Start with the most recent information.Under "Job/Activity Title, Position", write your occupation or job title if you were working. If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (for example: unemployed, studying, travelling, retired, in detention, etc.). If you were outside your country of nationality, indicate your status in that country.

See an example of a complete answer below:
From (YYYY-MM) To (YYYY-MM) Activity Type Job/Activity Title, Position City/town and Country Status in Country Name of company, employer, school etc.
2015-05 2016-01 Employment Salesperson Ottawa, Canada Work visa XYZ Company
2014-02 2015-04 Unemployed unemployed Beijing, China Citizen -
2009-01 2014-01 Educational Activity student Toronto, Canada Study visa University of Toronto
2007-11 2008-12 Unemployed vacation Toronto, Canada Visitor visa -
2006-01 2007-10 Educational Activity student Beijing, China citizen ABC high school

Not that I know off. Shouldn't be too difficult to type one up though. Just be truthful.

Birth certificates of your parents are only needed if you are sponsoring your grandparents

3 Year NOAs are only required if you do not provide yours and your Co-signer's SIN on the financial evaluation form

IMM008 DEP is only needed if you have more than 5 dependents

If your brother is not a dependent, then he doesn't need to fill anything (that's my understanding). You will need to mention him on the Additional Family Info form for your parents, that's about it

I don't see where it asks for a copy of the Sponsor's passport where it shows Father's name ?

Total fee to sponsor Mother and Father will be $2080, if you choose to pay RPRF upfront. You have the option of paying RPRF later, but IRCC cautions to pay it upfront to avoid "delays". If you choose to pay it later, then total will be $1100 ($550x2).
