to curtail the backlog, the CHC might have been doing the background and security checks before medicals for those who received the letter of 6/12 months to save their time for future, otherwise why did they advice to wait upto such period?. could it be?

Dont worry hinnajamal.. inshallah things will work out for the best for you and all of us.. the good thing is that u have receive a letter to wait 6-12 months.. i believe it means that u already cleared most of the hurdles and now they r waiting for next year may be to hand out more MR to MI1 candidates..
so just wait and inshallah good news will follow..!!

does this mean that my application is under back ground checks....or they have just put it under a pile to look at it later.... :-\ :-\

They might have finished the background checks on your file but the security checks will be done after they receive medical.

Atleast one thing is sur ethat u did not miss any add docs req from them, so just wait now, they will inform you, we cannot push them

Yes exactly thats what we do here, requirements from visa officer are birds and we shoot them by providing the required docs and fees
