You have to send everything asked for from parts 1, 2, and 3. If some documents are asked for in two places, you only need one copy.

Now my question is the letter I got is basically about requesting documents, I have submitted everything in my application package, and on the letter it says" if you have not yet ......" Is that means I don't have to give them those documents again?

Also have you guys received a letter like that? Or it is just something only from the hong kong office?
This is a common letter. If you have already sent something in, you don't have to send in the same document. They might be asking for more proof, though.

Hi guys
A shocking news from cic for spouses living outland
The processing time especially for middle east afghanistan india pakistan increased for more then 36months
Now spouses outside canada must live far from his her spouse for two more years
We were happy and very hopefull from Sir trudeaus govt that they will decrease the processing time but unfortunately they increased it more then the previous govt i think the prev govt was well for us
Now who is gona follow human rights?
i think this is not fair to play with a human life
Best regards

Hi !
I'm joining this thread !
I'm French, living in Vancouver since 1,5 year with my Canadian partner. I'm still under visitor status, as I can easily travel for now and renew my status for 6 months each time I get a stamp on my passport.

I have a post grad. work permit and also have visa to re-enter Canada both of them expires at the same time. If I go to the States and enter will I get 6 months visa fro Canada?

Hi guys,

Please do i need to write on the envelope that the application is for "Outland Spousal sponsorship" or not? cuz it doesn't have an option for that, am inside canada applying for Outland... thank you

* Indicate whether this is a spousal, common-law, conjugal or dependent children sponsorship.

you need to write it is spousal sponsorship..you dont need to say outland because that address for outlanders.
Wait for others who have already sent to respond to be on the safe side.

Hey,

I found this subject very useful and thank you for sharing your experiences here!!!

I am a Canadian citizen and I am sponsoring my spouse who is living with me in Canada! If I want to send my application to somewhere out of Canada for the reason of having shorter processing time (for example Ankara), should I fill the Inland forms or outland forms? As I see in the checklist in any case the documents have to be sent to Mississauga office first, then how may I ask which office I want my application to be processed in?

Thanks,

I am in the same situation..My common law partner who is Canadian is sponsoring me and I am on a work permit, live in Canada but I will apply outland.

so you need fill out outland form that is consist of 3 kits. part1 ,part2,part3 ..you choose Turkey for Anakara. I assume your nationality is Turkish. if not you need to choose from depending on what your nationality is.

your application goes to the Mississauga then is sent to your Visa Office(VO) based on your nationality or where you reside..so it is either Ankara or Canada in our case.

To my Filipino friends,

I found this information on the internet that we need to attend a CFO - Guidance pre-departure seminar before leaving Philippines once we have our permanent visa, since we are living in Canada do you think we will need to fly back to Philippines for this seminar? I honestly don't like the idea of spending a lot of money for a plane ticket only for a seminar ;D
