They send that letter by mail to your wife along with the photos and the evidences that you submitted.

I just recieved that letter today at my wife's address in Vietnam with all the evidence/photos. Asking for re medical check up, criminal record, 4 passport photos, fill in 1 form, and pay cic a fee in canada. Don't they require my wife's passport too? And does this mean no interview? So happy there is some sort of progress, and anyone know how much longer it will take from this point? What about passport request? What about an interview? The letter did not request for my wife's passport but instead only asked for 4 passport photos, What doe's this mean?

SO HAPPY THERE IS SOME PROGRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks in advance for any reply

Did you pay for RPRF (Right of Permanent Residence Fee) yet? You need to pay for RPRF before they will request for passport.

No interview, if they request those info from you then you are almost done.

Congratulations, as far as i know there will be no interview after they ask medical and passport pic. your process is almost done, i guess theyll request passport once you submit and they receive the medical result. :P

darn I didn't pay the rprf yet, getting that done now paying online by visa, can I pay now and send in my wife's passport along with her med checkup, criminal records? Since her criminal records won't be done until 28th this month. Can I send it in before they ask for it as long as I pay the fee first?

Once you paid your RPRF, you need to mail a copy to Mississauga office. You submit medical, criminal record check and photos to IOM, they might ask you for a copy of RPRF receipt and passport too. They asked my wife for it.

On your receipt that you mail to Mississauga, put your wife's Application number.

Hello Forum Members,

Just want to shared our landing experience on December 12th, It was very smooth only took us 7 minutes to completed all process with the Immigration Officer.

After walking out from the airplane we enter to the first Canadian Customs desk, I told the officer that my wife is here for landing as permanent resident. The officer asks the general questions: where are coming from, what did you bring with you? Any meat, fruit, alcohol, cigarettes…etc. then the officer stamped our Customs Declaration Card and handed back to us. Another officer directed us to another office which handling the landing process, we waited in line for about 10 minutes then the officer call us to the counter, I handed over my wife’s two copies of COPR paper and her passport/visa, the officer check on his computer system to verified all information are correct on the system that match the COPR paper, passport/visa and confirming the correct address, then the officer fill out the COPR papers and put his signature on both copies and asked my wife to signed both copies, then he handed back us the copy of COPR without my wife’s photo and he keep the one with the photo and told my wife she will be receiving her PR Card by mail in about two weeks at the address on the COPR paper. Then the officer said Welcome to Canada!

PS. The officer did not ask us for any of the B4 or B4A forms and didn’t ask how much funds that we are bring in to Canada.

I hope this information will help any forum members that will be landing in the near future.

Good Luck & Best Wishes to All the Members, hope you all will get your PPR very soon!!

Cheers,
