my wife's ecas changed to in process on nov 7th and on dec 7th i got med/passport/criminal record/photos request, just finished handing them in today and IOM said withing 6 weeks should have the visa for my wife. so around 1 month after your ecas changed to in process should you recieve that request.

Processing time for Singapore just went up from 23 months to 24 months wonderful. Dragoon if you receive interview letter for your wife please advise.

My wife had a feeling about our status and checked ECAS today and finally saw our status chage to "in process" should I expect a letter to ask for her passport soon?

We are still inside 1 year of her medical will she have to re-med anyways?

UPDATE !!!!

Its 4am in Victoria BC and I still can't sleep!!! Yesterday ECAS was changed from "application received" at the Singapore VO office to "In process".

My wife and I were ecstatic and thought we would hear from the VO within a few weeks!!!

HOWEVER I got a email from my wife at 2am with an email saying this...

WOW what a great 2 days! Normally it takes a month after "in process" but I think mine might have been faster because I work for the federal government of Canada and already have a security level (so less likely they think I would be involved in marriage fraud)

Overall the process 8 months to get to this point. We are planing for her to spend TET holiday in Vietnam and then land by mid March.

I had just come back from a visit to Vietnam last week and when we left my wife was pretty down about not knowing when we could meet the next time.

I am still wired to think my wife will be here soon!!!

Worried the may ask for an interview nad waiting time +18 mths that would set us back quite a bit. but others couples who had a child and passed the dna test didn't have to do an interview so I am told.

Every case is different. It takes about 8 to 10 days for my wife to pick up the visa at IOM. Did Singapore VO requested DNA test from you & your child?

singapore requested dna test couple of mths ago and we passed.
