Hi,

Got the passports today with the visas! It feels like the end of one long journey and the begining of another!

I wish everyone all the best of luck and hope you will hear some good news soon.

Hey ahaboubi, congrats mate and good luck. What a great news, definitely and hopefully the next journey would be rather comfortable and won't be long.

Thanks Ahmad, I wish you all the best as well

Madam,
Your file was transferred back to our office in London, UK, for Quality Assurance. Our office in London will contact you once they are ready to proceed

This is the reply we got from Ottawa, which means we are among the unlucky ones whose file went through "quality assurance" and is being double-checked, RE-reviewd. As it took Ottawa at least 3-4 months to review files, imagine now that it is in London....
Yes our file was indeed "ready for visa"....and we should have had a reply/PPR then...

pffff.....hard to bear...
but let's keep hope

to M+JM:

I am new here and it is interesting to note that I also have now the same situation as you have. Any update on this "Quality Assurance" thing to be conducted by the London Office. I would appreciate greatly any information that you could share to at leat soothe my worry a bit.

Regards and wishing you good luck and good news ahead....

Do any of you guys have any info on quality assurance?
MJM

Hi marvstin and welcome

What's your timeline, and how did you find out you had been selected for QA? We only heard after badgering CPPO about the status of our application. Our most recent email to the minister only confirmed that "The immigration officer in London has informed me that your application has been returned to their office for Quality Assurance Review. They expect to contact you within the next month to advise you of the next steps in the application process." [message dated 14 April]

Exactly what "next steps" means remains a mystery. Does "review" mean going through our file again? an interview as suggested on several sites?
"The application process"... Man, we were "ready for visa" in January, virtually Permanent Residents, and now we're back to applicants...

Please share your info marvstin and we can support each other ;)

Today I checked e-cas and they added 3-d line "Medicals have been received".
So, indeed, Easter Bunny got it to me.
Wheels started to turn, hopefully for all Ottawa applicants, with God help.

Hi ss2can
thanks for adding my name in your list and for your information after near 10 months my application status has changed to IN PROCESS again. can somebody tell me how long it will take to receive medicals letter.

Hi samyar

As e-cas started working - for the majority, if not all in this CPP-O group - well after medicals were done , I cant hazard a guess on when you might receive meds. I hope and pray that you and all others waiting in this forum get ahead soon.

Could anyone provide me the link of case specific enquiry??????????????

Hi Guys,

I'm really upset, I emailed them last night to know the timeline i'm looking at from now onwards, and guess what....

ITS BEEN SENT for Quality Assurance review back to London :(, and they will contact me when their ready......

This is so upsetting, I was hoping to get it before July, it will be 45months for my application next month (I know some of you have had longer waits, but I've been so optimistic), and now I've decided to just leave it and expect a delay I don't know maybe till march 2012!!! honestly, i've lowered my expectations for this visa to be issued anytime soon, its easier this way :)

Good luck to all of us.

And yes, I've got my life almost on hold because of this, but i'm gonna change that now.

Join the sad club buddy ???
Honestly March 2012 I give up and go back to France...
Surely there's a chance they'll fix it before our meds expire in September?

Anyway we've been promised reply "in the next month", so if there's nothing on 14 May we send another, more urgent email and letter combo.

Looks like at least 3 of us have been sent for QA: SinceOct07, marvstin and M+JM... The saddest part is that we're only told after harrassing CPPO...You'd think they would have had the decency of letting us know first...

Hello,
to be honest, whenever I think about my situation and I read about the situation of most of us here, I can't help but feel so sorry for ourselves. I can honestly say that once this is over, it will be hard to be in a situation in which we will be treated this badly, with complete disregard to our daily lives.

My furthered documents got to CIC London on April 26, and I am still waiting for them to get me a response because I want them to confirm that they know where my document is and that this additional tests are with the right department.

I am just worried because they misplaced my original medical for about 3 months, which is enfuriating, and I do not want for this to happen again, especially when my medicals expire in 11 weeks now. I will have to wait and see what they say next week. The latest I can get my PPR would be on 05 July so that I can get my visa stamped in time, which will give me 6 days to buy a ticket and fly to Canada, which I find it so unfair that because of them I will need to purchase a last minute ticket. Again, they just do not care. I hope Canada is much better than these people. They certainly give the worst impression of the country.
