when i fill it as a principal applicant...
applicant -----myself.
spouse--------my wife
mother-------my mother
father--------my father


now when this form is filled from my wife side....
applicant -----?Her name
spouse--------?Yours Name
mother-------? Her Mother
father--------?Her Father

please answer if you can ... thanks in advance...

I have another one: in the document checklist (IMM5488E), points 6 & 7 talk about job offer:

"Your job offer letter....+ HSRDC file number...."

&

"Proof indicating that you meet the requirements of the job being offered"

We do not have either of these, right? We just have the support letter.

How do we swap these with support letter? Any other suggestions?

Adv/disadv of going/not going for TRV?

Any additional fees for TRV?

Plus, it says if you want TRV, original passport is to be sent. Will this not hamper the PR application that we have in parallel? What if OWP takes 3 months and the embassy requests for passports in relation with the PR application?

And proof of funds! Again?

I am so damn confused right now! Some clarity would do immense good!

In the check list you dont have to tick all these documents as we have not been provided, however in the form i wrote as " N/A applying for open work permit". Definitely they would know this is the application for "Open Work permit"
It is upto you if you want to go or not, this is kind of opportunity you want to avail or not.
$150 for OWP and TRV both.
Yes, you have to send original passport, but it doesnt take too long for TRV. Afterall they would know the consequences is if we are asked to apply parallel. Anyways, i have already applied beside thinking too much.
Yes you have to give the proof of funds.
You dont need to confuse, if you dont want to go for this opportunity, leave it. your PR application will remain in process but who knows this PR application would not go in another backlog. Atleast, we can have something in our hand if apply for TRV, and this may show that how much we are concerned to move to Canada.

No, fees is only $150 dollar.
You have to submit two separate forms one is for work permit and other is TRV. It is written in the checklist that fees will cover both.

I would say once having the Canadian experience, you can get far much better job in home country.

Actually melisa, I have enough international exposure and I am working at international location only.

To be sure whether you should send your original passport or not, check the website of your corresponding Visa Office, as my visa Office doesn't need the original passport at the beginning and sending the copies is enough.

Hi

I just got a letter of support today...and it states to apply for OWP.

I want my spouse to accompany with me so ,
do I need to process separately for my spouse or in my single application it will work ?
Also do i need to show the funds for me and my spouse separate ?

The letter states that job offer is not needed..so if I apply without job offer then the visa will be given or rejected ?

Please provide the inputs if anyone is under going process or already had...
