Hi Zain, I'm also from Pakistan. You should apply for WP visa at CHC Islamabad and also you must go through the requirement of CHC Islamabad because its requirements are little bit extra. by the way it will take 16 weeks for finalize the case.

But on CIC website it has been mentioned 9 months processing time for work-permit for Islamabad Visa Office.

good news that one my friend has received VISA and going to Canada in Feb..

he applied in 2010 from Pakistan .. .. not before 2008

his file was transferred to London in 2010 August with in year..

then he sent all the forms and files sent to Nova Scotio becoz London office asked him


then Nova Scotio office asked him after one month that you now have to communicate with Islamabd office for medical and visa...

hope to see all with goood news soon by the grace of Allah...

but they are those people who initially submitted for their application for WORK PERMIT.. they are not provincial nominee........

no one has submitted the Work Permit forms from the provincial nominee people...when any one of us applies to OWP then we can conclude that how much time they are taking for Provincial Nominee people...

Yes agreed with you....in our case....Provinical Nominee + FSW backlog reduction....Might be process faster than simple work permit.

Now your questions:
1) process for applying?

$ 150 per person. You can also check on the link i pasted above.
3) forms to be filled?
Open Work Permit for, TRV Form and Family Information.
4) where to send aplications?
The office is addressed on the top of your work permit letter, if it is buffalo the address has changed.
5) any guess how much time they will take to send temporary visa after applying?
Almost 2 months, but again it depends on your visa office. You can check from the website.
6) should i send separate applications for my wife ?
Yes. If you are applying work permit for her then you have to fill separate family information form as well for her alongwith OWP form and TRV form.
7) should i send separate applications for my son under 18?
You have to send TRV for him, and i think you have to get study permit for him as well. I dont know much about this.

No, fees is only $150 dollar.
You have to submit two separate forms one is for work permit and other is TRV. It is written in the checklist that fees will cover both.

now when this form is filled from my wife side....
