Hi lilotia,

Congrats on getting the AOR and Support Letter of OWP. I have a question, are you going to wait out the validity of your current WP (I am assuming you have one since you are in Canada) and then apply for the OWP or are you going to get the OWP right away. I am also in Canada and just got the support letter for OWP.

Hi Kia99,
Thank you. My current WP will be valid for more than a year. So meanwhile I will not issue a new OWP, and I'll see in half a year if there is any progress. I hope it will be enough time to issue a new WP

Any idea on what order Ontario is sending the Support letters. Earlier i thought its based on the receipt of filled in PR application. But looks like thats not the case. As per their earlier communication Support letters will be fully dispacted by Nov end. Im yet to receive it

Pradeesh, try to call them. I called them, gave my RON number and they told me when they mailed the letter of support.

5) any guess how much time they will take to send temporary visa after applying?
6) should i send separate applications for my wife ?

My AOR is for my PR application I sent to CIC (According to my Ontario Nomination), I didn't send my WP application yet.

about your questions:

1- You can find everything here: Application to Work in Canada: Work Permits
2- Link above
3- 150 CAD for each person
4- You must select the visa office that serves your country of residence, your country of nationality or the country where you have been legally admitted.
You can find out from here :Visa offices outside Canada: Countries / Territories and corresponding Canadian visa offices
5- It depends on your Visa Office
6,7 ) I'm not sure , but I want to apply for my spouse in same application

$ 150 per person. You can also check on the link i pasted above.
3) forms to be filled?
Open Work Permit for, TRV Form and Family Information.
4) where to send aplications?
The office is addressed on the top of your work permit letter, if it is buffalo the address has changed.
5) any guess how much time they will take to send temporary visa after applying?
Almost 2 months, but again it depends on your visa office. You can check from the website.
6) should i send separate applications for my wife ?
Yes. If you are applying work permit for her then you have to fill separate family information form as well for her alongwith OWP form and TRV form.
7) should i send separate applications for my son under 18?
You have to send TRV for him, and i think you have to get study permit for him as well. I dont know much about this.

actually i am also asking this becoz i need to change my job ..if this temp. Visa will be issued in 2 to 4 months then i must stay here other wise i will move if it takes more than 6 months.....
