HI malisa

As you already sent your application I have one question, Did you fill all forms again for you spouse too, because for one person WP we should fill family information and Temporary Visa form for both(main applicant and spouse) , do we need to do the same for the spouse or it is enough just to fill the WP form for spouse and attach it to our application( and some educational and work certificates).

Thanks
Actually my husband also applied for open work permit thats why i submitted his open wp application, trv and family information form. But educational certificates and work experience are not required as per check list. But if your visa office has some different requirement you should follow them. But if your spouse is not applying for work permit you need to submit only the TRV application form.

Hi ignat, It depends on the visa office where you submit the case. In my case it is two months from New York office. You can check it from cic website accordingly.

Hi Ignat!
Ans.1 Your spouse can get the open work permit, you have to submit his/her application alongwith your work permit application.

Ans 2. 2 years will be from the date when visa is stamped by Consulate office.

Ans 3. I m sorry dont know much about your third question.

Regards

Hi Malisa,

What about my 11 yr old son? How will he get temporary visa? Do I need to send his passport as well? Do I need to pay for his visa as well?

Hi Pradeeshma,

Since you are in Canada, I am assuming you already have a WP. Are you still going to apply for the Open WP or wait till the current one expires before applying for this one.

Thanks
Kia99
Hi. Im not in canada. Waiting for the support letter now

I got the support letter yesterday. I am yet to apply for the PR after nomination certificate (because the police clearance certificate is taking time here in India). So right now, I have two applications to make, one for PR and another for OWP.

Is children's education free on OWP (on PR, I understand it is free).

shareit,

You dont need actual PCC to apply for PR, you can send proof of application , PCC can be submitted to NVDO at time of Medicals

Hi Hadeel,

May I know the source where it mentions that these documents have to be notarised? I seem to have overlooked this.

Thank u!!

Rane

Hi Rane,
Please refer to the guide on this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EP7TOC.asp
you will find this paragraph , which shoud be applied to any document which is not in english

[Translation of documents

Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:
•the English or French translation; and
•an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
•a certified copy of the original document.]

But unfortunately I noticed this after I sent my PR

Any idea on what order Ontario is sending the Support letters. Earlier i thought its based on the receipt of filled in PR application. But looks like thats not the case. As per their earlier communication Support letters will be fully dispacted by Nov end. Im yet to receive it :(

Hi Pradeesh ,
Do you think it might be according to the RON number (1200XXX) ??

I Agree with you it's according to the RON number. because between my friends two of us received it but my other friend whose RON number is greater than ours , hasn't received it yet.

but don't worry. Ontario didn't put any condition to send the support letters and you will get it soon.

Hi lilotia,

Congrats on getting the AOR and Support Letter of OWP. I have a question, are you going to wait out the validity of your current WP (I am assuming you have one since you are in Canada) and then apply for the OWP or are you going to get the OWP right away. I am also in Canada and just got the support letter for OWP.

Thanks
