Question : while we all are waiting after submitting our application, can we really move our money which is in our saving account to Fixed deposit to earn higher rate of interest ? We have already shown proof of funds and now that money is sitting ideal.

If we are supposed to show POF again , why cant we make our money work harder for us i.e. FD to earn high rate of interest etc ?

You can do that. FD should be on your name. Better keep that FD in same bank account and don't make that F.D with too long locking period.

Hi guys! I'm new to de forum, just registered to get updates on processing times. I'm awaiting for an AOR since 08/jan/2016 as a FSW. I had hopes the proccess would be much faster! Is there any official info on when the processing times will be back to normal? When do you expect to receive an AOR an then a decision?

Also, what is the percentage of approval after you get a PT notification of interest? I mean, if your documents are all in order obviously.

Guys anyone in a situation whose work permit is expired or will get expired in next two weeks and has not recevied AOR yet?
I am in this situation pl let me know what should I do? ???

try calling ontario till you speak with someone and see what they can do for you and if not then you may want to apply to change status so you are able to maintain your status here.

Check out this link: "BOWP - Do I need AOR or Nomination from OINP ?"

You may wanna change your status to be visitor(safe bet) or you may wanna take a big risk by applying to extend your work permit(which will be rejected but your status will be changed to "implied status" that might give you around 1 extra month to work)
