Thank you!

Is anyone else applying to extend a visitor visa for their visiting spouse? We are in the process of applying but some of these questions feel like... a trap? They ask for his residential address but will only allow Canadian addresses since he is extending a visitor visa - his real residence is in the US. He has a job, but he does not work in Canada. They ask for his UCI at the top but he has two - one was given on his last entry and one was given for his permanent resident application. Has anyone done this yet?

You can put his Canadian address, as he is residing in Canada during his visit. I put my Canadian address and had no problems getting an extension. CIC doesn't care whether you're residing in Canada or not, only CSBA cares. He may also put his job down, and add an additional paper stating it's a US job, not Canadian. You don't need to put his UCI at all either. Usually each person only has one number (my UCI on my extension was the same as the one I got for my PR app) but maybe there are mistakes. You don't need to put it. The questions aren't a trap, just be honest and explain things on a separate piece of paper if you think it needs more explanation.

Thank you! I don't honestly feel like they're trying to trap me, it just feels that way with the way questions are :)

I understand, I was worried at first too, especially with the "residential address" question. It's hard to know what they are looking for, and none of us want to give them the wrong idea.

By the way, I recommend you mention that you and your spouse have applied for PR and send them a copy of the receipt. It's not necessary, but sometimes it helps to do that. But probably, your spouse will get PR before the extension is even looked at!

Good luck to you!

I have recieved my SA 13 days back. But I have not recieved my AOR2 yet. Should i be worried? How long does it normally takes? Thanks in advance. :)

My AOR was Nov 8. And until now it's still IN PROGRESS. Does it normally take that long before SA? I've seen across the forums people getting SA around 7-10 days after the first AOR...My wife and I are a bit worried :(

Do not worry different agents do things differently. Am almost same timeline as u and I don't dont have SA yet.

Buy my CIC has gone in progress so am hoping that indicates SA. Next couple of months promisses to be the longest of our lives but hopefully we will all have good news by the summer ;D ;D ;D ;D

My CIC has gone to in progress as well. I am hoping this is indicating SA as well. Specially after them messing up my file by creating a new UCI for me while I had one from 16 years ago when I came to Canada as an immigrant and I put that number on my application when I was filling them out. Hope things goes fast. Patiently waiting! ;)

For returned docs do they give them priority or they just put them on the line again? Weired how they return a whole document just because on the postal code the city is missing. Weirdos.

They put them right back on the queue. No priority. So I was told, because my documents were intially returned.
