So one day you were just able to log into ecas with your receipt number? Or did they send you something in the mail?

Hello There and welcome to October 2015

Most of the October Team on this thread have received their AOR and SA - mostly by email, however there are still a few of us still waiting for both or just one ( including me -SA ).

You can always try to log into Ecas by using your receipt number if that doesn't Work then you will have to wait until CIC asigns you a UCI Number, this you will received in the mail or email once AOR is granted.

Also if you have your current UCI number when you landed or the UCI number of the sponsored person you can log in with those numbers too

I didn't get AoR in the mail or via email. I randomly checked online and basically saw I had AoR and they'd sent me other documentation (which I've now received). I'm still waiting for SA myself. I suspect they'll mail it. CIC isn't very consistent in how they handle the cases (we provided email addresses on our applications).

Usually, when its time for PR, your passport will be sent to the VO that is processing your file. Since OUTLAND means - your case is being processed outside of Canada. In your SA email, u will c the VO that is gonna process your file. thats where ur passport will go when its time for Visa issuance

I am not sure how it all works though. I was told that applicants from the US that are in Canada have their Outland applications processed in Ottawa. I am from California and just glad they didn't send it to Los Angeles.

I am confused about the sending of the passport. Is it something everyone has to do? What do they do with the passports when they get them? It's scary to think it could get lost in the mail.

That is a good idea! I bet Ponga or canuk_in_uk would know. Hopefully you can get an answer and maybe I can find out why we need to send in our passport.

My application was received and signed on the 20th of November 2015 but I haven't received any response yet. We are constantly checking online using my sponsor's UCI. Has anyone from November received any mail?
