Yup! That's the number. I always seem to get all these informational options but never an option to actually speak to someone. Is there a secret path?

We haven't been told our SA is coming - I'm making assumptions, haha. It's funny that you say at least they didn't send the package back - they did once already. We'd originally submitted in Sept, then it came back. Then we sent it back and here we are. I'm guessing the form isn't a "big" deal compared to the other forms since his son isn't immigrating? Who knows. I'm just happy the whole thing didn't come back again.

Oh gosh - that was 16 years ago! The government doesn't even audit you for taxes for that long ago so it seems silly if that is a factor. I mean, I could see them being concerned if someone was sponsoring spouses every 4 years or something but 16 years is a LOOOOOONG time ago. Good luck at any rate!

I finally got a piece of mail from CIC. Turns out that we had to fill out an IMM0008DEP even though my hubby's son is not immigrating to Canada. Who knew! So we've filled it out, sent it off and we're back to the waiting game. Hopefully that will be all they need and we'll get SA not to far down the road. He has to head back to the US in a couple of weeks and I won't see him again until April. Booooo!

Yeah, I sent in documents with my application for my son who is considered a dependent by the CIC due to his age, but he is not being sponsored or accompanying me in Canada. I had to send him the forms in California to sign and he sent it back. I sent in forms IMM5406, IMM5669 and also there was a section in the IMM0008 that I had to add him to. He was required to have a medical, but I sent in notarized declaration letters from him and myself stating that he is almost the age of not being a dependent and would not be coming to Canada or be sponsored in the future, since we didn't have him get the medical exam. He is also in a Common Law relationship now, but wasn't when my application was sent in. So, I am hoping that none of that is a problem. He will be 19 in August and he has been living with his girlfriend and in college & works in California. I have heard that CIC is very adamant on the dependents getting the medical exam, but some of the senior members told me to send in declarations and it might be okay because his age is so close to the cut off.
