Great news! SA received! I'll update the spreadsheet when I can.

Some stats for those obsessive types like me:
-Rec'd via email, 1 business day after AOR email
-60 days after Oct 30 delivery, 1 day ahead of the current estimate
-File is now being sent to "a visa office abroad"

That last bit sucks, I was really hoping it was going to stay in Mississauga!

Hey bigredmoose
Did you say your file was delivered on October 30. If so how'd you get your SA before all the other October applicants between October 16 to October 30. I have been waiting for 76 and no SA. All I have is a temporary file number and this wait just keeps increasing. Not happy at all rightnow .

That's quite a typo! You really misspelled "Conratulations, I'm happy for you! Hopefully I'll get some good news soon."

i am on day 63, we called CIC, and received AOR by phone. nothing more though, only information that in next week or two we will get email or mail with more info.
so still no SA, but at least AOR

EDIT:
also, they received it day later than our courier told us, so I changed it on spreadsheet, now formally i am on day 62 ;)

let me know when u receive an AOR by email, mine may follow soon after.
Thank you

Bigredmoose, congrats, but imagine our nerves. I am so stressed, and i am on day 67th, also theoretically before you, and no information yet. Sorry for not jumping with congrats, we are just worried...

I am sure they meant good when they wanted to clarify the dates when your application was filed. This entire process is nerve wrecking, and people are quite worried. For most it has been almost 2 months and yet no news. Take it easy :)

and Congrats on your SA.

I'm sure we all understand the nerves and stress that go with this situation. Equally we should also understand the elation that comes with receiving any progress and just be happy for one another.
The wording of the response questioning how this had been processed when others have not is a little off.
Hopefully good news for all, soon.

I call from outside Canada. They use to have it so I couldn't get through. So to get around it I got a Canadian phone number through a VOIP service. Recently, the phone system is allowing my calls through. I use the 613-944-4000 number.

Thanks for the reply. I was able to call using the Rogers one number VOIP.
All the agent said was even though you have passed the 61 days they are working on files received on 16th Oct So I can't check

That sucks! Hopefully now that Christmas is over things will speed up for you.

The frustrating part is that the Oct 16th date they're referring to was posted on Dec 17th, almost 2 weeks ago.

This whole thread has their nerves on edge, because we've all waited a long time. I hope we all get our SA's soon and we all slide back into a happy group ;) We're all in for a long ride with each other. Some of us will be super bumpy and others will slide right in like a hot knife through butter.

Hello everyone :) we just rcvd our SA last Dec 23, since we did not undergo upfront med, can I just ask if someone here knew where could get or download the medical report form IMM 1017B? We're a bit confused coz I've read in CIC website that the visa office will send it to us but we did not read that on the SA that was sent to us last week. Thanks :)

congrats, when was your sponsorship application received by CIC? What kind of sponsorship is it? If it is family sponsorship, I do not think you get a form to fill. You go to the doctor and they will take care of it electronically. They'll give you a document with some id numbers on it that you submit to the visa office.

Congrats!!!!!

The form you're talking about is the "e medical form" you receive when you're done with the physical. It contains your basic info along with a picture they take of you at the Dr's office and the UMI number. The UMI number is what they will use to look in their system to find you physical.

Good luck!

I think Outland applicants have it easy. I'm sorry - I know it's stressful, but we waited over 6 months for my SA when I sponsored my husband Inland 2 years ago.

The idea of waiting 50 days or 60 or 70 or 80 is still nothing.

Just take a deep breath and find something to keep busy with.

This too shall pass and soon be a dim memory.

:)

i wouldn't mind waiting 2 years as long as my family was with me....right now my 4 year old son is here with me in Canada and my 3 year old daughter and her mom are in the Philippines waiting...every day my son cry's for his mom and sister, the stress is real. Try to keep in mind that everyone's situation is different.
