I believe yes. That's what happened in my case anyway

I call from outside Canada. They use to have it so I couldn't get through. So to get around it I got a Canadian phone number through a VOIP service. Recently, the phone system is allowing my calls through. I use the 613-944-4000 number.

I woke up early to call the CIC and the lady couldn't give me any info on the status. She wouldn't even check anything. Once she heard that Oct 23 is the application received date, she said they are currently working on Oct 16th applications and as a result I won't hear anything until the website says they are working on Oct 24th applications.

Goodmorning Guys, hope all are having fun with holidays around. quick update on our spouse visa file processing, recieved email from,New Delhi visa office couple of hours before, to submit the following to Mississauga office.
 "Proof of payment of your Right of Permanent Resident Fee (landing fee) to our office in Mississauga or by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid. Note: dependent children are not required to pay the Right of Permanent Resident Fee.
" Submission of police clearance certificates for you and all dependent family members who are 18 years or older, for time spent in any country for a period of 6 months or more, if not already submitted. Note: If you or your family members were under 18 years of age (16 years of age in certain jurisdictions) for the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do not need to provide a police certificate for that country."
this email have a different UCI, guess second stage AOR if im not mistaken.
Question,
1) do i log in with old UCI to check status
2) we have already submitted orignal PCC for my spouse along with initial file submission. i have a saved copy, should i attach this along with payment reciept?
3)RPRF fee- do i need to have a log in profile? my agent have my CC details & he does papers & payment for me

Good morning! I'm sorry to hear they weren't helpful. I also got up early to call this morning right at 8:00, and the guy I was speaking with was really helpful/friendly. He also said they were working on Oct 16th still, but was able to confirm that our application had been received and give us our application number so in the future we can check online. Ours was received on October 23rd. Perhaps it would be worth calling again and hoping to get a different agent?

Great news! SA received! I'll update the spreadsheet when I can.

Some stats for those obsessive types like me:
-Rec'd via email, 1 business day after AOR email
-60 days after Oct 30 delivery, 1 day ahead of the current estimate
-File is now being sent to "a visa office abroad"

That last bit sucks, I was really hoping it was going to stay in Mississauga!

-Rec'd via email, 1 business day after AOR email
-60 days after Oct 30 delivery, 1 day ahead of the current estimate
-File is now being sent to "a visa office abroad"

That last bit sucks, I was really hoping it was going to stay in Mississauga!

Oh, and I'm now able to log in to view my status. I wasn't able to this morning, before I got the email. I was assuming that login access was changed once a week but now I'd say you get access when you get SA.

congrats! but you never know. maybe that 'visa office abroad' is just a generic term they use and in reality, it's kept in a local office ;D . Regardless, it's moving along.

Sadly, they specified which office abroad it would be going to - Sydney. That's where it should go, but I'm still hoping they'll decide to keep it at CPC-M.

It is going to Sydney then (Australia yes and not Sydney Nova Scotia?). If it was staying in Canada, it would tell you which office it was going to.

Mine also read "going abroad" but it is being processed in CPC-Ottawa. Not as fast as Mississauga but we do need time to get our lives together to move. I'm the Canadian sponsor and living in London UK with my common law partner.

Happy to hear a bunch of you are getting your results, I'm sure by the end of next week, beg of January, most people will be through to the 2nd stage of this process.
