They asked me regular questions before the agent opened my file, file#, birth date, country u were born, then he confirmed all my info like home address, email address and phone#..

I called last week, and they went through all of that with me too and in the end she gave me a temporary file number. When I called today, the lady made a comment about her not understanding why I was given a temporary file number, it doesn't mean anything. I asked if it at least means they've looked over the paperwork to assure everything is there and signed. She said no it's only there to log that it was received. I even asked her if she could look to assure my file was filed outland. She gave me an attitude and said "did you mail it to the right address?" and I let her know I hoped I had but it appears there are many mistakes lately. She still wouldn't check for me..... Santa isn't going to be nice to that woman!

I was there too, I have a UCI number to use, so I used that today. Last week I think I just hit a bunch of zero's and was finally transferred. I feel like their phone system now takes 15 mins to get through before you can jump in queue to speak with a human :-\

I understand you.. give it some time you should hear soon, I also got a temporary file number when they sent me email requesting docs. Usually they sent the email by 30 days of the file submission requesting any missing docs, I believe you haven't got any so you don't have to worry, your file is in que..

Hi Everyone! Got my SA this morning (AOR) yesterday! On top of the world right now

One strange thing, the AOR came to my email, but the SA went to my Representative (Father). Any idea why?

finally got AOR today! We are October 16th applicants. We did use a consultant and she sent us the AOR within about 20 minutes of her receiving it. Sadly she is now gone for a week and a half so if we get SA we won't know until after she gets back. Although she does let people know important things even when she is on vacation so here is hoping she lets us know about SA when it comes.

We had been inland applicants in May of this year thinking it was the better way but in August our application was sent back saying some forms were missing, which those they listed as missing were right there in the package the sent back, frustrating, but it did allow us to start over again as outland applicants. so here we go now to see how long it will take. I am an American and my Spouse is a Canadian so maybe we will have it all done by June! Since I have been here in Canada as a Visitor since July of 2013 it will be very nice to finally be able to work again.

CIC Make the decision regarding where applications are processed. They have been processing a number of applications (but not all) at Missisauga recently but you can't request this.

R there any specific condition that the case will be processed in Mississauga? Thanks for your reply.

Not as far as I know. There's a variety of cases that have been kept at CPC-m. Some are people that are living in Canada but choose Outland and others have been Outland.
Others may know of prerequisites, but I haven't noted any in particular.

The file number they gave me was a temporary file#, so i typed that in and it worked. If you have received any temporary file# you should type the numerical part of it and try on Monday..
