OCTOBER 2014 OUTLAND APPLICATIONS!

My sponsor just got an email a few minutes ago that Application for Sponsorship for me was received ;D So...while Outland we got an AOR email. Is that strange?

Will update the spreadsheet now!

It seems like they have resumed issuing AORs for outland. Most of October applicants received one including me. You should see SA in a day or so . Good luck

Yes draxz, we sent by personal Courier on Oct 16. I have wondered if they still had our file in the Oct 16 or if they sort it some other way.

Just re-read the AOR email and it does say, "This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by CIC on 2014/10/16...

So it DOES look like they are using the Oct 16 courier date.

Yes they would use the date when the file was received.

As warzo mentioned, outland applicants are getting AOR and unless your email specifically says inland you are good. You should expect the SA by tomorrow to beginning of next week given that they are closed on 25th and 26th

Thank you! Yes, I was processed in Mississauga, even though I applied outland via the Sydney office.

Not understand why you apply Outland but the whole case was processed in Mississauga? My sponsored has three years work permit in Canada, and currently working in Canada. we r applying Outland recently, can my case processed in Mississauga like yours or the CIC decide it for us?

CIC Make the decision regarding where applications are processed. They have been processing a number of applications (but not all) at Missisauga recently but you can't request this.
