I'm crazy busy the next two weeks, so it should really help me pass the time.... Between room mom responsibilities the next two days, shooting a wedding, Xmas, New Years, a road trip down to my in-laws (shoot me :-\) and my hubby's Birthday. It'll be over before I know it

Hey everyone, first post here...been lurking since the Summer. We turned in our Outland application while we were in Toronto for Canadian Thanksgiving in October. It was delivered by courier to the Mississauga office October 16. I'm American and my common-law sponsor partner is Canadian. We are/have been living in the USA the last 4 years.

My application is currently at 67 days. Last Thursday we called the CIC from the U.S. and they gave us a temporary application number (like others in here had reported) and indicated they would be getting to us in the next couple of days. Hoping any day now but also am very sympathetic to those that are working over the holiday.

Flying to Toronto on Dec 29 for a week visit...was initially a little worried we wouldn't have SA to be able to show at the airport, but will just take my info with me in case it comes up.

I'm looking forward to life returning to normal. I love the snuggle'iness and build up of the holiday season, but I have to admit, I really dislike the week leading up to and the week after Xmas. There is always too much to do, and not enough time. Xmas is much more fun when you're a kid

Hello everyone!! Husband got SA today on the mail. Letter is dated december 15th, but we received it today monday 22nd, CIC got our application on oct 20th.

So it was exactly 2 months waiting. We are happy and excited!!! I was feeling down thinking that with the holidays coming we would be getting an answer by january, but thank God it wasn´t the case.

Wow, congrats!! We are still waiting. It seems like it takes forever to get mail from Canada anyway. I think we may call again tomorrow morning.

Congratulations!!!! Are you in the USA? I know everything I've received from CIC in Sydney took exactly 7 days.

Hi and thanks. Yes we provided an email address. But we didn't get the AOR, just the SA today by regular mail. Husband says he didnt receive any email and neither did I. Even though the SA letter has a client Number and application number still I went on line to see if I could start tracking it and no info was showing yet. I think maybe it starts when visa office receives application and starts working on it?? I dont know.

Very interesting that they sent SA via regular mail even though you gave an email address..

It could take couple of days I would presume before it shows on ecas or may be only after the visa office has begun processing.

My sponsor just got an email a few minutes ago that Application for Sponsorship for me was received ;D So...while Outland we got an AOR email. Is that strange?
