"From what I read and gathered a PR sponsor should be in the country to apply and its ok to go visit the applicant or go on holiday as per the usual Canadian "allowed" work holiday limit which is 2 weeks a year"

"The sponsor should be in the country at all times unless its the above mentioned holiday"

Where did you find this information? I'm not questioning the accuracy of your statement, I just honestly want to be directed to the official source, if there is one. Cheers.

No worries I understand :) I have read quite a few threads suggesting that a short holiday is ok and as I have mentioned.

This is one of the threads

I had asked this earlier

Thanks. I'm just wondering where do people get this information from, as it is nowhere to be found on the CIC website. Please let me know if you get any official information from the call centre.

Hi everyone,

Nice to see that people are getting their SAs. Congratulations to all those who've got it! Hoping the rest of the process goes smoothly for you all.. :)

I'm on day 65 and trying really really hard to stay positive.

My husband has been calling the helpline every chance he gets but there's always a high volume so he can't get through to them. :-X

My submission date was 10/10/2014 and the website says they're
It's getting increasingly difficult to wait. :'(

Any suggestions on what I can do?

Call at 8am and you will get through

Hang in there, I am sure you will get it this week. Not sure if you saw my previous post on how to reach an agent quickly.

Call right before 8AM and then press 2-1-1-0, my wait time is usually 1min.

Thanks!
My husband is going to call them tomorrow morning at 8am.
I did see your post on the same subject earlier and informed him, but he wasn't able to, tomorrow though, going to try again at 8am and then 2-1-1-0.

I wanted to apply for a TRV to visit him for our anniversary, but from other forums, I learnt that it's wiser to apply after SA. So my dates keep going haywire cuz I have to apply 1 month before my intended travel date!

Thanks again for your help Draxz!

I was going through the October spread sheet and it seems like the application for SA are going in good order according to the October spreadsheet.
But whats up with newgirl1, ChrisCK, fab, Tannygirl, mona2014 that you guys haven't even received an AOR either. I know a few of you guys are active on this forum while as a couple of you never post. Is there any reason you guys haven't heard back because you are past the SA processing times especially newgirl1 which is October 1, application received. I posted this to see if you guys had any updates as to why you guys haven't received anything.

I'm with you, buddy! What's up with us not receiving SA or even AOR for that matter!
My sponsor called them 2 weeks back and they told him we should get it in 2 weeks. He's going to try calling them again today, hopefully it should yield some results.

I think only your sponsor will be notified as that part is for the sponsorship approval.
Once your file is transfered to your home VO, after that YOU will get the emails and not your sponsor.
Hope that helps.

Just by looking at the spreadsheet it appears we're up to 62 days for SA, and climbing....

Good luck guys. Hopefully most of you waiting will hear back this week with a good news.

Thanks Warzo. I think my saving grace from my obsessive personality, is the holidays! The shopping, wrapping, decorating and room mom responsibilities are helping to pass the time. I don't know what I'm going to do after the New Year and SA, when the LONG wait begins ;)

Where is your VO going to be? I hope the wait is not very long for any of us. Amen!
