Received SA today!! Less than 24 hours since my AOR. Despite us being in London UK, our file is being transferred to Ottawa so I expect (and hope!!) for a speedy application. Spreadsheet updated. Took 58 days, just like the updated website.

Congrats!!!

I am an Oct 16th. No news whatsoever yet, hopefully next week.

My husband and I sent our app in September. They received it 9-12-2014. Got an email dated 10-21-14 from CIC requesting yet another marriage document and more proof of relationship. I have been to Morocco three times. Typically I stay one month and about ten days. This year I stay January 13 to July 29 for marriage and celebration, small trips and visiting with husband and family. And from 10-4-14 to 11-09-14. My third trip, and planning another in early January 2015.
We send scan copy of Arabic, and more current tri photos, my recent itinerary as I was there at time of email. And our lawyer send a copy of translated marriage document. Originally back in September he was to send a photocopy of Arabic and original translated. Not sure if I can believe who sent or who didn't receive. Now we been waiting 53 days as of today. I am thinking now the week of Christmas we may get SA. If you count from 12-09-14 it's been 92 days. Anyone on here have similar experience or offer any insight? Should I stay in this group or join September? In September 2014 group I read about people calling. I was aware CPC-M could not be contacted. What's up with that? Thank you and good luck to all!

Sorry it hasn't been 53 days...it's been 47 as of today. But still 92 days sinice original app received.

Hey guys,

We are going crazy with the distance - been 5 months already since we got married... so I am going to meet my wife for valentines day for two weeks :)

I was wondering if that has an impact on out timeline; is it advised or not advised to be away from the country while her processing is underway?

are you a PR or canadian citizen? If citizen, it doesn't impact the application.

Hi all,

I got SA in mail yesterday (I didn't include email in my application since my husband prefers paper mail). The date on SA letter is Dec 4th. So I think Dec 4 is technically my SA approval date. CIC received my application on Oct 14th.

Some of you may know my application was mistakenly processed as inland. I found out when I received inland AOR about 20 days after I submitted the application.

I'm thankful to get SA after 51 days considering my application was in the wrong pile for about 20 to 30 days.

I think there was another October applicant who got inland AOR. I hope we were the only unlucky ones. But please do read carefully if you get AOR not too long after submitting your application.

It is comforting to know though that even if your application could be mistakenly placed in the wrong pile, it wouldn't take forever for CIC to fix the mistake.

I thought I shared that because I thought it was the end of the world when that happened and it would take forever to get CIC to get it fixed.

Now I should go add myself to spreadsheet. (I was too depressed to do that before.)

I am a PR. Does that make a difference?
