Did you get an email for DM?
No, in fact I have received no contact from CIC since sponsorship approval, aside from an automated acknowledgement message after sending an unsolicited e-mail copy of my CSQ.
I saw the DM and earlier in-progress status through checking my ECAS status. The IP was dated on June 10 and visible around June 15. I recommend
not checking daily, as tempting as it is. I did that, and seeing no change (first before IP, then for the longer-than-expected IP->DM period) was rather stressful.

Thank you for this info. I actually called CIC and the lady told me that it will take about 65 calendar days from the time i land to receive my PR Card. Also with immigration you gotta make sure you know everything before making a move... I have one semester left for school and don't wanna jeopardize anything lol but im sure I will be fine. Thank you again for your response.
Remember that the PR card is useful for
returning to Canada, not for leaving it. If you do have to return to the US in the autumn (with renewed student status, I would hope) without your PR card, it can be forwarded to you by your in-Canada spouse or partner [provided, I suppose, you are not commuting cross-border to classes]. In the meantime, please be careful how you present these plans to CBSA upon entering, since you do not want to represent that you aren't "really" moving to Canada at the time you land.
