I have updated my info under 'treznor' on the PR tracker form (this does not allow me to publish the link, can anyone provide?) - I went one full year without knowing what was going on. I am noy sure if we are all being affected by the strike, but I constantly looked at other timelines and I was expecting a 6-8 months wait and it actually added up to 12. If we count the time it will take them to review my medicals and request my passport it will add up to almost 14-16 months.


My advise to everyone out there... request the notes on your file, this will help you be calmed. To those who got rejected P.M. me, I've been through that and I can advise the best lawyer in Toronto, pricy but worth it, the most serious people you can work with.

It has been 4 months since CIC updated my ECAS with Medical Received status God knows how much more time they are going to take.

I did order GCMS notes and everything is passed, including Medicals. Only Security was blank. Also, it has been a month since CIC replied to my email saying the background check is in progress.

I wonder how long this background check takes considering that I have been in this country since I was 17.

I'm wondering what does cic do as a part of background check. Do they check with landlords in canada? Check my financial transactions? My travel within Canada? My interaction with various govt agencies? Does cic validate addresses I lived in my home country?

My gcms says RCMP no reportable trace. I've been in canada for 3 years. Went back to home country for 1 month vacation for my wedding and back in Canada. Never been to any other country.

The last gcsm I got was way back in August and nothing has started as of then. I just got emailed for medical request today. Ecas Is not updated however.

how do i know if the doctor is Emedical on the website as it mentions on the medical request form ?

All the doctors in Canada are emedical. It means results will be sent electronically. All the doc I called send result electronically.
