Lol Infoseeker...I am sure Jean12F meant the I 94 and not the US visa. she must have already had the US visa and that's why got the I 94 with which she can enter US for the next 6 months without having to go to the immigration building every time she crosses the border.

See, id have literally done that mistake if you hadn't corrected me. And who knows wat kinda trouble i'd get into if i just drive to US border like that and say
"No no...Me want Visa. My friend got one for 6 dollars. You give me visa now!"

Dear XXXXXXXX,

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)

Our records indicate that you have already paid these fees. They are refundable if for any reason you do not obtain permanent residence in Canada.

Hi Jean & anyone with knowledge on this - does paying RPRF in advance - pays off in terms of speed? Or would it cause any confusion on CIC's end?

If i were you .. i would wait till they request... coz in CIC nothing matters and nothing speeds up... everything is done in their own sweet time...... If it was medicals , yes doing in advance ,does matters...

Congrats Idah.

So CIC is still working on a slightly faster pace - 11 months - 2 months shorter than the standard timeline given for 2012 applicants.

Hi Frnds,

My ECAS status updated as following on Friday Jun 7, 2013.

"We received your application for permanent residence on May 14, 2012.
We started processing your application on March 1, 2013. Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

Not received PPR yet. Am I good?

Hi Cec,

You are perfectly fine. The decision was made few days after medical. Perhaps your background was being completed at that time. Hopefully within a week you will receive your PPR.

Would you pls share when did it show that your medical were received?

Thanks Infoseeker... your words boosted my morale.

I completed my medicals on April 30 and submitted by Dr on May 05... ECAS status was updated that my medical results were received on May 10/11, I suppose.

See, they took almost a month to finalize the decision after medicals. I'm not a psychic or anything, but it seems that all is done on your file and now they have upgraded it into Decision Made status.

Pls do let us know when you get the PPR, which should be pretty soon. all the best.

5 months since medical, and 3 months since ECAS showed medical is received. Still no passport request. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

hang in there!!! it is coming, I find it's easier to wait, when you are actually not waiting. Time goes by faster.
good luck!!! hopefully you'll get to the last step really really soon!

Congratulation's to all MAY 2012 applicant's who landed already ..and for those who are waiting let us be patience,we're almost on the top of the ladder ... :)
